Actually the real important question here is, why do you need to gain trust here? Unless you are planning to scam i dont see much use to it, do you want to trade coins? You dont need trust for that, use escrow, problem solved. Do you need a loan? Use collateral and escrow, problem solved.

You've figured out how to get negative trust. Now, just do the opposite. It's difficult to get trust when you spam a Ponzi all over the forum.

Trade every once in a while over a long time period and hang around a lot. That is literally it, there's no easy way to gain trust unless you're selectively gunning for trades with people on DefaultTrust in which case someone will pick up. Having a signature ad for a suspected scam/ponzi is a bad idea for gaining trust, however.

Is there a list of people on Default Trust? I've been trying to look around and I couldn't find it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

If you only have DefaultTrust in your trust list, you will only see those on DefaultTrust. Changing to Hierarchical View is what I prefer personally as I feel that it gives me a better breakdown of who trusts who and who maintains a higher quality list.

So first you were promoting an obvious ponzi scam and now you are again promoting an obvious ponzi scam. How to gain trust?

Well maybe start by not promoting obvious scams. You and the other "participants" in those signature campaigns are the only reason and way these scammers can get any victims on bitcointalk. Well done. You are definitely earning my trust by keeping scammers alive.

Having doubt if they are really scams? How about you take a few minutes to read some related topics (like 1, 2, etc)

Comparing it to gambling? With gambling the site doesn't make any promises on profits and don't pretend to take your money to invest in some bullshit. The odds are clear and the player knows what he is risking. Even the ponzi sites that claim to be a ponzi are better than those fake cloudmining/invest scams.

Well trading and offering services is the best way. Having green trust versus black does not really matter for most people. The only time trust helps is when you gain a good enough rep to have people send first to you. I have a pretty decent trust score and when I trade the only thing I look for is no negative. I have also traded with negative people - just research why they are red.

Why do you want rep/green trust here?

You must sell something to people have default trust
than you ask him to give you trust
i think that is work Smiley

You should be also careful who you do business with from the default trust list.
That's because if the user is "kicked out" from the list, your shiny green trust may become black again.
And lately that (kick) happened more than I'd expect.

#1 dont promote ponzis (see your signature)
#2 be honest

So you mean all cloud mining firms are ponzi, i mean there are so may users participating in there campaign all are wrong? This way one should never promote gambling or casino.

If you are promoting a scam website like cloudthink.io, you are encouraging others to get scammed as newbies may click on your signature and join that scam website. I can understand that you may not be asking anyone to join the signature website but it does raise questions when you trade on the forum.

ok i agree what you said, but tell me one thing why you guys promote gambling site...now don't tell me it is different, then also newbies can go and lose there money. Anyways there is nothing safe with bitcoin/online.

If you cant see the difference between "Minimum Guaranteed Profit" and "Come play, you might win" there is nothing anyone here can do to help you.

Anyway, back to the topic. The important question is what kind of trust you are after. tmfp posted about the distinct trusts. If you are just after the fancy green numbers, focus to trade with those on defaulttrust. If you want the old fashioned trust you have to act accordingly. If you have a choice to do something in different ways do it the way thats best for everyone.

Gambling sites ARE different to ponzi sites. Gambling sites lay out the odds of winning and loosing, there is no lie. Ponzi sites are scams which obscure the fact they will collapse sooner or later and run away with the investments.

i don't support ponzi but i don't agree what you said about gambling sites there you are gambling against house so in long only they will win so there no point for them to run away with your money since they will always in profit. Will you close your business which is always in profit?

In gambling the player is aware of the risks. The site you're promoting doesn't say that the investors have a high chance of getting their money stolen. They are promised high returns instead.

The business is not sustainable. They're spending a lot which is a indicator they're going for broke.

there is one thread talking about it here -> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cloudthinkio-removed-management-pictures-after-being-caught-with-stealing-1074272

i mean talking about his signature that i was using before i read that thread, after i read it i change my mind.

btw about the main question, you just need to made one thing, be honest and give a good service to others, what service? whatever ppl need and you can offer, just check our forum there is lot of ppl who need some services, if you made a good work, they will compensate it and give you a +1 trust.

The point is you know what the odds are in a gambling site. You know the house will win in the long term, and just hope that it doesn't in the short term. They don't need to scam anyone, or lie about how they work to profit. Besides, gambling also has other uses for players, like entertainment. On the other hand, a ponzi scheme needs to lie about what they do if they want to be in business on the long term. If they don't lie, people stop investing there sooner and the scheme ends early.

There is a difference between a gambling site and an obvious scam site.

A gambling site pays if a person wins a bet while a scam website doesn't pay no matter what you win or lose.

I too don't like gambling websites/ponzis to be promoted on this forum but the forum rules state that one should be wise enough to know what's right or wrong but scam sites are cheats compared to gambling websites. I myself don't trust gamblers as they don't work hard to earn that money and just gamble it.

If I know that a website is a cheat/scam, it would be wrong on my path to promote it.
