I think there are no free wallet anymore because we need to buy resources like cpu and ram to own EOS wallet.
You need to contact people who already have wallet, give them the fee to buy resources to create the wallet for you.
That's it, good luck mate.

First of all you should understand how eoe blockchai work dude. Until now, I still not found free method for getting Eos wallet for free except you have a friend activate your account for you. EOS wallet means Eos account. Eos have 3 main components like :

1. Cpu
2. Ram
3. Network

And you must have an Eos balance (stake) on them, so you can use them for transaction.  For example if you have 1 EOS balance, you must stake them (allocate) to CPU and Ram at least 0,1 EOS for both.

Take part in some bounty campaigns, because a lot of bounties that are paying rewards using EOS blockchain are giving away an address completely for free, so you can just take part in telegram campaign and earn some tokens plus a free wallet.

I would avoid freewallet at all costs, you don't even hold your crypto's private key there. Better be safe than sorry.

IMO, holding private keys is not the main point of a good wallet. My cryptos have been safe for several months with Freewallet.

It is, if freewallet is gone your funds are gone. If you don't own private key, you don't own the funds, anyway good luck.

Basically all wallets except hardware wallets are free.

For EOS wallet.

https://freewallet.org/eos-wallet
https://atomicwallet.io/eos-wallet
You are wrong, if you would like to create own private wallet on EOS blockchain, you need to pay someone who will use his own RAM to create a new account on EOS blockchain, this is very specific for EOS blockchain. Creating private wallet on Ethereum or Bitcoin is completely free, you need only to generate the private key and public key.
But also there is an option to get free EOS wallet, but it will not be private, you will not own the private key, you can learn more about it when you google: EOS cloud wallet.

EOS wallet is actually free but to use it you have to activate it first except for the wallet in the exchange market. The wallet that I recommended and is currently using for EOS;
Atomic wallet and Lynx wallet
both must be activated and you can save your private key.
If I'm not mistaken, imToken wallet provides free to activate EOS wallet (for now I don't know), try installing imToken wallet and check "create EOS wallet" option, you should find instructions on how to get EOS wallet for free on there.

Hi All,
I'm noob of this EOS stuff. Can someone here share information about how to get EOS Wallet for free? I've tried Lumi Wallet yet its already exceed limit ( i dont even know the limit was).

I'm sure this EOS Stuff is something going on in the near future. So, please help me for this issue.

Thanks a lot.

I'm using scatter I highly recommend that you use this wallet for Eos https://get-scatter.com/ it's a desktop wallet and I have activated it through the generosity of the Bethhash community, you need to deposit a small amount and create a name for your application which is a wallet, all EOS wallets is activated this way I think you only need $3 or less to activate your wallet

If you wanna receive EOS first then just go to an exchange like binance, generate your EOS wallet, it comes along with a memo and then start receiving EOS. You can then install and EOS app wallet where you can deposit your coins to activate it. There are lots of it so search it on google play. Basically its not a free wallet for you will need a coin there for your RAM, CPU and net.

There are some free wallet apps and websites out there but be sure to be careful before making any accounts. The activation of many is easy when you have balance in the beginning of course. Those features are of course only for those who will really use it. Free wallets often don't have the features that paid wallets have like holding your own keys so think about it first before you decide. Freewallet.org is one of the sites I knew that is "free" to use.

Depositing on wallet is basically free but withdrawing from it may not. In EOS wallet, it needs to have balance for you to use its other features. Many wallets also have limit on how much you can cash in and cash out. Telegram groups also offer information about how you can create a fully functional EOS wallet with promos and like. Just be careful and fact check everything because it can be a scam who knows. But if you have extra, just spend some to really have a legit EOS wallet.

By using some multi wallets like Cobo mobile wallet. But you will not own a private key from this wallet. So if you want EOS wallet only for few EOS then try Cobo.  Smiley

There's another easy way to get yourself a free wallet by using a Freewallet's apps. For example, the web app: https://app.freewallet.org/auth/login They also have mobile apps for those who feel more comfortable with the smartphone apps: https://freewallet.org/eos-wallet. You will need to check those ones yourself just because I prefer the web app — they have more coins and tokens there. And the main thing I almost forgot: EOS withdrawals are fee free. And the registration with Freewallet is free meanwhile other wallets require starter payment.

Its possible to sign up for free EOS wallet on freewallet website or their android app but I think the only limitation to the EOS wallet of freewallet is the inability to change the wallet account name. I think that's the only issue I have with the EOS wallet there but if anyone can put me through on how to change the name, it will be much appreciated.

As far as i know you can open a EOS wallet for free but you need to activate it with putting a little bit of eos in it. So probably even these wallets need some eos for activation.

Right, my friend also said that to activate an eos wallet it takes a little eos balance in it, when we make a wallet it is free but for activation we need a balance, because I also recently used eos wallet, so this is a very good suggestion.

Yes, so, a few months ago I made an eos wallet and indeed requires some costs including activation. The eos wallet in my opinion is almost the same as stellar where it requires several XLM for activation but unfortunately yesterday I bought some RAM to get my EOS wallet.
