Now that you are aware that you need some experience before you can get accepted into a project that will be willing to pay you a decent amount you should look for a project that has a decent amount of subscribers and that has moderate active users and offer to assist them in moderating the group for free so that you can start developing your portfolio from there if you think you can just apply and you'll get accepted once when you haven't got any experience that's a lie. You can even volunteer to work for campaign managers to moderate their bounty groups ( trust me that place is a hell of a place) and with that, you can even get close to the manager and through them gain connections to larger projects. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day...

I have seen many people working as moderator or mod for social media platforms like discord, telegram, forums, etc. how to get that kind of jobs easily and what maybe the process of getting a job like this.

and also share your experience, if you ever worked at this type of job like how you got that job and what was the process, what strategy you used to qualify for that job.

at least you should already have experience in managing your community. or at least social media groups or channels. it can be quite convincing when you offer your services to potential clients.
develop your relationships by interacting with many people. include in some of your local projects first. The more people know you are a community manager, the better your chances of getting a job.

whatever effort you put in, good luck.

If you want to be a moderator on a social media platform just create one. It will be very easy to be a moderator on the social media platform you created. Most moderators of some of these platforms are the owners or creators. Another means of landing a mods' job is by becoming active in the forum and frequently giving positive contributions. If you can also suggest to the operators or owners of the social media platform how to improve the visibility or performance of the venture, you can be employed as a moderator. If your suggestions are creative and have the potency of making the forum achieve its goals, you can be in for a good job. Acquiring skills or professionalism in the field related to the platform and applying for a job as a moderator will also not be a bad idea. You will never know until you try, keep trying.

The projects must need to have a moderator for their channels or community; the mods can be treated as a manager of the channels if you want to get hired as mod better to build up your knowledge of how to navigate to the platform they are using next is know how to build social media management or any management related knowledge it's ideal to have a certificate to as your credentials if there's any. Next is build a good reputation, so many projects would like to seek your engagement. As possible, create a portfolio so you don't need to explain too much. Based on my experience as a moderator in the community in a local channel, you always need to keep updated with the projects and manage the people around you to prevent speculation of rugs.

Build your profile and give that profile professional look. Mods on discord are tech savvy people, gain knowledge about technical stuff of discord and learn how to operate discord properly.

Firstly make an announcement on this forum of you offering such service and then observed each bounties that get launched on the forum, try to get in contact with the developers of the project and offer your moderation services to them. Preferably make your service free for the first few projects you get in contact with so you can build a very nice and attractive CV that you can used for future application and get hired for your experience and exposure. Do this and you will get one or two projects that'll hire you especially as your service is kind of free and they won't spend money to get you to manage their social platforms.

You can also write the managers of the bounty to link you up if the project they launched campaigns for will be interested in moderators for their social channels. As you get experience you can then search for newly launched project and offer your service to them. Your charges this time shoudn't be too expensive, when you can start requesting for what you feel is worth your pay is when you start getting job offers from other projects looking for moderators on for their platforms. Remember first you need to get the exposure and experience before you start demanding payment.

Seems you want to make money from being a moderator on cryptocurrency platforms. What you need to do is create your work proposal and sent it to new projects so that they can look at it and employ you if you have the kind of service and experience they needed. You need to have experience and knowledge about how to be a moderator and you must have a vast understanding about different cryptocurrency projects so that you will be able to answer questions from people in the community that you are working as a mod. Experience is one of the skills that you needed to get employed.

OP, getting a mod job should not be a problem but rather have you got any experience? Do you have a portfolio?  because nobody would want to hire a novice to moderate their community because that alone is a disaster not to talk of when he or she is being paid to do the job.

If you lack experience, you can start as a volunteer at first and doing the job for free would grant you more exposure and experience so you could build your portfolio and CV. Then you do your own self marketing.

Firstly, I'd like to ask - do you have any moderation skills? If no, (cus you sound like you don't) then how are you gonna deliver the job satisfactorily to the clients? Making enquiries on things you dunno at all is as good not even knowing anything asking about it.
Secondly, the crypto space is very competitive and we've got alot of trusted peeps in the system already; it'll take time and much more concentration on any new cat.

Getting such jobs is not difficult, but most projects would want to pay you with their tokens, which may not have been listed on any exchange. It's always as good as doing a free work. The others that pay with bitcoin is difficult to get, because the project always need experienced people to take up the position. The only method is to keep on searching until you get one, you can also take the free jobs to build portfolios for a better mod job in future. Visit crypto subreddits and freelance forums, there you can find such openings. Also keep an eye on some projects shilled on telegram and reddit, a few of them may need mods for their channel and groups. Goodluck!

I have never gotten a job on any crypto platform but I would love to share the experience of my friends. How they got their is through networking and recommendation. Networking- they attended crypto events and were active in the sessions. They move around during tea breaks introducing themselves to the guest speakers and other participants. One even requested for a trial, some others got to get a second meeting after the introduction. And they got offers.

For Recommendation, these folks were consistent and built a solid social media presences that they the CEOs reached out to them direct saying we are looking to fill this position and you came highly recommended. And that was how they got the job. A couple of them had no coding skill or background in STEM.

Generally being a moderator during the pre-crypto days were entirely a thankless job and you wouldn't really have a great time dealing with trolls and shitposters regularly. But with the rise of crypto centered social platforms such as discord and telegram, it has become relatively easier for the applicant to gain a job provided they have good connections with other hardcore crypto enthusiasts and they have established themselves in the community with a good track record of handling insane level of participation and posts.

With regards to being a moderator at platforms such as reddit, you won't be paid as it is a voluntary work and getting anything in return will go against the rules of reddit as well. I currently serve as a mod of r/BitcoinIndia which is one of the most popular crypto platforms in the country where we cumulatively handle an average subscriber traffic of more than 115k bitcoiners. When it comes to forum where you get paid for the moderation you do, as I have already stated in a thread you need to gain tremendous level of trust and report a lot of shitposts from a particular section for you to be considered for the role.

How I became a mod of r/bitcoinIndia was a kinda boring story and I think this happened back when the sub-reddit was so small with 5k bitcoiners and I have been reporting shitposts and requested myself for the role as a helping hand to the head mod of the sub. When Bitcoin boomed during the last bull run, eventually a lot of bitcoiners from India joined and the sub started gaining traction and hence it became a popular and large sub of the country  Smiley

Don't have the skills to tell about work as a moderator, but you can offer yourself in the service board section that you provide services as a moderator or community manager and most importantly you must also include your Portfolio so that people who need your skills can know your abilities and experience you are the moderator. If this is the first for you and want to try your luck, you really have to have the skills you master.

I think the topic must be in off topic section but let's just leave it to decide for moderators. So you want to become a moderator of some group or community but for that, you have to get some experience. Because once I filled out the application form to become a community support in a telegram group. And the question asked in that forum were easy like qualification and experience plus CV etc.

Well, basically at that time I did have not any experience so I just wrote that I am willing to learn but they were not so I got rejected. For you to get accepted, you must have some experience or at least enthusiasm to work as a dedicated moderator because if you will not love the job it will become non-productive for you.

Are you referring to getting a moderator job on this forum or outside the forum here because you can't compare the two together, if you're referring to getting a moderator's job here then you will have to get yourself enough time to deserve such through your active commitment on the forum and the level of quality contributions you've made to help it's growth, aside this I don't know if there's a season such announcement is being made, maybe Theymos choose a moderator by himself and not like merit source which you can apply for, if it was the external moderators job you means, then try to build your CV and have the required potentials needed to apply for such role when announced.

and also share your experience, if you ever worked at this type of job like how you got that job and what was the process, what strategy you used to qualify for that job.

I've never been a moderator before but if you want to get into one, then be ready to always stay active being online and remain especially when the demands for the job requires such, everything about moderators job is through application when there's vacant position for it.

I'd say...

1. Apply when they're hiring
2. Market yourself in directories/places where potential clients go
3. Send them personal invites

If you have a past experience (or anything related that could help), that would give you a plus otherwise you could try being active/reputable in the community you're applying. Having a good standing account in well known communities like bitcointalk could help too.

Note: if you're looking to get paid right off the bat, make sure to check if the job is for volunteers or nah.
You're all suggestions are good and important but here I need to add few things as I am also recently visiting few forums for having information about Bitcoin and crypto but mostly found they are not good or having mostly jobs as volunteers because they have no good income sources.

But still if you want to do then you need to be expert about all things which are important for the mod role or job with you also need to be good in bitcoin and crypto with following forum rules are also important because you have to guide newbies and others for this all just keep going hopefully you will get something positive if you will do this all with consistency.

There’s no way to get this kind of job easily because of the competition on this job is very tough. The majority of crypto freelancer choose this path for job since it’s the easiest way to get extra income online.

You will need a very good portfolio or connection on the team so that they can refer you. This is how some people gets the job easily and not through random application since the team will always choose a user with experience than a newbie. I work as telegram moderator before under a the management of forum member on our local board. The only way I get the job is because the manager is from the forum which I knew on social media. You need to establish your connection or build your portfolio slowly.
