Stick to the normal posting guidelines for any forum.

- Don't spam or make low grade posts.
- Don't capitalise titles if you start threads. I've just put  load of members on ignore because there seem to be quite a few of those here today.
- Read the stickies, and the threads to get a feel for the forum protocol
- Don't ask about merits
- Don't quote long posts in full.

and all the other things people have mentioned.

I think this guideline is very helpful, but there are parts that I don't understand, and as new people in this forum, I won't pretend to understand it.

Therefore, can you explain what is meant by "Do not capitalize titles if you start threads"

Hope you do not mind.

I find it hard to navigate on this forum alone. That's why i always search using google and add "bitcointalk" at the end for every questions that pop into my mind. It's not perfect but it saves you a lot of time, so i suggest you to do it too.

So true. You like read my mind. This forum definately wouldn't hurt from some UI touch and restructurization. The first time I got here I was like "Whoa, now what". As of your way of searching info here, it's better to add "site:bitcointalk.org" to make sure all results are from this site.

The first thing I recommend is to get an idea of what you want to accomplish.  Do you want to mine Bitcoin?  Do you want to invest in various coins?  Do you want to start a website providing crypto services?  Do you want to get involved in Bitcoin development?  Do you want to just learn a little about digital currencies so you can understand buzzwords?

Once you figure out what it is you want, it is much easier to guide you on how to move toward that goal.
