You should have constructive post that other user can gain knowledge in your post so they can give you merit points.

While i do not have any merits at the moment. I think it depends on the quality of your posts as well as the quality of the topics you put up on this platform. I'm not sure if it depends on the replies to your topics though. Just do good on the platform and you may stand a chance. I hope this helps.

As you know , ranking in bitcointalk thread has been changed after 24th Jan , a new feature called " merit" has been added to profile .What is merit ?
•You get merit points when someone sends you some for one of your posts. Additionally, when someone sends you merit points, half of those points can be sent by you to other people.
what has changed in ranking?
•In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks.

I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
•This forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
•Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

Been inactive for awhile and I was pumped up to rank up my member status from Member to Full Member by increasing number of my posts. When it meet the requirements, I was surprised that we need additional Merits to rank up our position. I think it is really good to eliminate negative posts to help the community growing up. Now the question is how to increase Merit? Is Merit trading allowed?
if you dare to trade merit, lets do it but remember that is too risky. but my advice is better you try it yourself and try to improve the quality of your posts. not just for one thread, you should try for all threads and provide a useful information.

how to get merit, then you must make a post that has the character build, solution, and also communicative.

if your post can help other members to solve the problem, then you will get merit from other members.

so, with merit you will stay continue in your position, or your position will go up to legendary ? merit determines your position.

It might be hard to earn merits not Totally because of your capacity to construct quality post or capacity to research and contribute knowledge in the forum, but possibly because of too many spam posts to a certain topic making your own post overlapped by other member so your post gets overlooked.

For me, it might be hard to get or to earn merits not Totally because you need to conduct a quility post to increase your merit, but if your post is only a spam or non sense post no one can give you a merit anymore so you need to post a very quility post have it.

One way to get merit, with you creating a high quality post, or by creating a useful topic for all users of this forum. it is now quite difficult to get merit, but still for the spirit and do not give up, to make a quality post to get merit.

Merit requires that your post is quality and not meaningless. It is best not to trade merch, because if checked, your account will be banned.

You are right about that because other bitcoiner people is spamming in post that's why they use merits but now other people abuse using of merits because they cycle in donation of merits.

Example:
P1 - P2 & P3
P2 - P4 & P5
P3 - P5 & P6
P4 - P1 & P2
P5 - P3 & P4
P6 - P5 & P1

That is what i learn in my friend that other people use that cycle to avoid to donate each other but to donate by group of people. I think my friend idea or knowledge about that is correct, that our topic tackle when we meet each other. Its possible to happen right?
We just topic about in ranking up and going to merit and he notice of other people doing that thing in his work place.

you must create a post that is sufficiently qualified or at least share your knowledge with all members in this forum. by inviting your discussion, this will get you merit. but I guess it's pretty hard. because until now I also have not get any merit

if you want some merit, you must make a good post.
but still, it not be guaranteed that someone will give you merit.
because it is depends on the merit giver, whether they want to give you or not.

I'm a newbie and it's even harder for a newbie like me to get merits. I've seen some people giving away a merits by joining his discussion and giving the best answer to a question given by them, but again a newbie doesn't even allowed to participate on it. But if you're a member then you would not got a problem I guess

I think this topic does not belong here. To answer your question, if you want to earn merit then you have to post quality and meaningful post that can help other members of this forum. Although I am confuse on how do you define a quality and constructive post. I think it still depends wether your post are eye-catching or just worth ignoring.
