You can never kill bitcoin. This is continuously going up and never expect that it will go down as it is already introduced and used all around the world.

If one or a group say that bitcoin can be killed, well try it first and I will believe him/her or them
I agree with your opinion.
Although bitcoin has not been inaugurated by many countries but there are already many people who use it, so even though many people will not be able to kill bitcoin if it still gets more and more people use it every year.

I don't think that there is an easier way to kill bitcoin but there are ways to kill bitcoin for example miners can kill bitcoin by just stoppage of miners to running their equipment to mine bitcoin in that way, transactions will not confirmed forever due no block mined unless the miners resumes the mining that's why miners role are very vital to bitcoin and also you can kill bitcoin  if another altcoin can overtake the position of bitcoin.

Killing Bitcoin? It's not that easy although there are some who would like this to happen. So many times I've heard that banks and governments are the worst enemy of Bitcoin and that they are trying to destroy it but that is actualy not true at all. The worst enemy of Bitcoin is Bitcoin community itself and too much greed and different interests it has accumulated so the worst damage to Bitcoin could be done from inside.

Yes, Bitcoin has no danger from outside world like banks or govt. institutions etc.  The only thing which can damage bitcoin is the difference of opinion among the bitcoin community. Most of the times miners don't agree on going for a fork or not and half of the miners supporting one version of bitcoins and rest the others. This gives confusion in bitcoin as no one is clear on to support bitcoin or bitcoin cash for example. Such things if not settled now, can be very dangerous for bitcoin survival in future.

What's the need to kill bitcoin, even if the entire people who at present using bitcoin stops it too bitcoin won't get affected. Because this keeps it circulation through some other means. It can be of through altcoins or through gambling or through illegal transactions usage which won't go out of usage anytime.

Bitcoin can be be possibly killed but it has more chances of being killed due to an external factor rather internally. External factors are threats that Bitcoin or any users of it cannot be avoided at one external factor I see killing Bitcoin is our world government where all of the nations unite to stop and ban all the related websites to Bitcoin and also the wallet providers for it, with that kind of move Bitcoin will be valueless.
Banning centralized services though the web wouldn't exactly have much of an effect on bitcoin's function. Perhaps some use cases would be impared but still people could download bircoin wallets through the TOR network where censorship is as hard as tracking down physical servers.

..
Exactly the same number of transactions as it does now.
...

how is it possible? Only 3 miners will mean a lot less block, and less block will be less transactions. How can be no difference?

You really need to do some research and find out how Bitcoin works. For someone with a 2013 Hero account, I'm very surprised you don't know the basics. The difficulty of finding a block is calculated to always keep block generation constant at 6 blocks per hour. If there is less hashpower on the network then difficulty will be reduced and the same number of blocks will be found. That is just the opposite of what happens everytime miners add more hashpower, the difficulty goes up and the same number of blocks are found.

Hihi, seems like you're wrong about him, his English was bad even in 2014, and that makes things even worse when taking into consideration he hasn't spent at least one hour to understand how bitcoin works in 3 damn years.

Nobody can ever kill Bitcoin. I heard that many tried to kill Bitcoin but they could not.

Never heard of somebody trying to kill bitcoin, can you give an example?

Bitcoin can be killed by the one who created it or bitcoin can be killed if every countries government control bitcoin or if they change the form of method from decentralized to centralized mode.

No it can't. Satoshi holds no special powers nor does he have a "self destruct" button available.

Actually, the most effective way I can think about in order to kill bitcoin, would be a worldwide legal arrangement settling mining and transfer illegal. Bitcoin would still exist, but no new would be created and people owning it would be completely unable to use it.

No, that's not the way to kill bitcoin, it's just a way of stopping it temporarily.
Once internet is up again bitcoin will revive.
And if the "evil government" wants to keep internet down forever we could easily find a solution to transmit data in another way.
Decentralized network model for example.

Nobody can ever kill Bitcoin. I heard that many tried to kill Bitcoin but they could not. Actually nobody can. Because there are so many users today. Many thousands of people love Bitcoin. They are dependent on Bitcoin. Those who want to kill Bitcoin, I think they have mental problems. Because nobody wants to kill such a good thing.

In order to truly destroy Bitcoin an attacker would have to destroy every copy of the Bitcoin blockchain. With tens of thousands of copies of the Bitcoin blockchain stored across the global many believe the only way to do this is global nuclear war.  Angry Angry While the Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and subsequent fireball would wipe many hard drives clean there are undoubtedly a number of copies of the blockchain stored in Faraday Cages and safes that would be protected from the EMP.  Shocked Grin Grin Grin
So its means it is not possible to Kill Bitcoin....

It is quite original to search how to kill bitcoin on such forum!

The most simple way to kill bitcoin that comes to my mind is, of course, a complete stop of Internet and all related technologies. A worldwide shutdown. No electricty, no bitcoin.

That is quite easy and quite useless as an answer at the same time  Grin

Actually, the most effective way I can think about in order to kill bitcoin, would be a worldwide legal arrangement settling mining and transfer illegal. Bitcoin would still exist, but no new would be created and people owning it would be completely unable to use it.

However, governments are completely unable to find a sustainable agreement that all countries agree to and stick to. So regarding such a fast-changing technology, I think we have nothing to fear!

Plus, they do not especially care I guess.
