So far I came to know the blockchain wallet only give you an identifier, something like Bitcoin address character. You can call its private key which, though you can permit to enter your wallet.

It's an online  blockchain wallet.
See this document --> https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-2l6xOqcbjs9QWEqSh72RD1d8EEdvG_hQuEXw_f_o6w/edit

The above should allow you to get your private key(s) and your xprivkey (Blockchain.MyWallet.wallet.hdwallet.accounts[0]._xpriv)

The bolded in the two different quotes sound contradictory to me. I am at a loss. Is it a case of differing opinions or I lack the knowledge to understand what has been said?
I used Mycelium over a year already and never faced that feature, only the seed/phrase as a restore option/backup can be exported using this wallet.
You can only export the private key of an imported address on Mycelium (since you imported it on the app on first place), not the address/es that was created by Mycelium HD wallet.

Now, I want to download a bitcoin wallet from Google playstore for Android phones.  Where can the private key be found?
Depends, which one are you planning to use ? I have mycelium in my android phone you can easily get the private key by tapping the accounts tab then click your hd account after that click the icon 3 square icon beside the archive option then tap export to get your private key.

Now, I want to download a bitcoin wallet from Google playstore for Android phones.  Where can the private key be found?
If you are referring the app "Bitcoin Wallet" on play store by Bitcoin wallet Developer then it's okay to use. But there's no feature that will export its private keys and its seed. But there is a feature of backuping your wallet from a .dat file which is encrypted with password you input.. And also on electrum android app and mycelium, there's no feature to export your private key but you can backup your seed to restore your funds in case of losing your phone.

It's an online  blockchain wallet.
There is no option to export the private key in blockchain.info nowadays (IIRC). Stop using web wallets.

I also use a blockchain wallet. So, it's not adviseab any more? Please, which can you suggest? Perhaps it's about time I moved away too.
The only right advise for this is: Do not use web wallets, especially not those that do not give you access to private keys.. The reason for this is that it's counter-intuitive to the whole idea behind Bitcoin. If you do not own the private keys, then you do not effectively own the Bitcoin either. Read this thread: [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?.

1) Wrong section.
2) Wallet dependent. You need to tell us which wallet you're using.
2.1) Bitcoin Core private key: https://github.com/OmniLayer/omniwallet/wiki/Exporting-a-private-key-from-Bitcoin-QT-Bitcoin-core-and-Importing-to-Omniwallet.org
2.2) Electrum and Armory (blockchain.info does not work anymore): http://docs.bitshares.eu/muse/migration/howto-exporting-wallet-clients.html

Online or offline wallet,
This distinction is probably going to be useless in this case.

Each Bitcoin address has a private key.
A bitcoin wallet can have one or more addresses (one or more private keys), a bitcoin wallet can be a local software or a web service, usually if it's a web service you may not have access to those private keys.

So basically you'll have to tell more exactly your case to help people help you.
