You can refer to announcement thread here in the forum and check some thread for guide.  I suggest you avail a copper membership here to be able to post some images it makes your thread more appealing and professional. You can avail it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote
But of course, the most important is the content of your thread make it simple and clean.

If you want to develop a token and market it to the public, it's best to hire a professional to do it. On this forum there are many professional managers and they will give you the best advice.
Besides, you should also pay attention to white paper and media sites, which will help you attract the community.

Thanks for your reply and for your concern about giveaway we posted.

90% of all people that joined giveaway know what cryptocurrency is but we are in any case going to update Medium with details about our token before Giveaway ends. There is also White Paper in the making and with Questions we posted in Bitcointalk we are trying to gather a little knowledge from community in Bitcointalk to present Tantum Digital in best possible light when we make Announcement.

That's not my point, you created your first announcement and it is a giveaway announcement which failed to even highlight what your cryptocurrency is all about. You are just their in medium creating your first post for your crypto project yet you failed to tell about anything what Tantum Digital is, to make things worst you just posted a giveaway for it without you explaining what is even the purpose for your crypto. I hope that you don't take this the wrong way and I'm not really here to criticize your project but you are here asking for an opinion about what you will do for you to have a "good" announcement and I'm just here telling that your first post in Medium is really a bad move for someone introducing their crypto in the market.

Having a cooper member account is a must. It will allow you to add pictures to your post. Of course you can do it by achieving Jr.member rank, but it take time. Without pictures, simple ann thread with wall of text wont look attractive.
Indeed. For projects that doesnt have account here, availing this would beneficial to him for the design of their ann thread. But some other project prefer to hire external poster for them. I think this is also nice, and adds valuation to their project especially if the one they hire is a reputable one. I assume no manager will agree if the project is scam. Plus the project can have advantage since that guy knows already what should be included on the ann thread.

But of course they can always do this on their own. Just a tip and suggestion.

Why are you asking if you already have one? You created this Medium article today and I think your decision of making your first post as a "giveaway" announcement is already a bad idea. Yeah sure the readers would know that you'll be giving away your tokens but in exchange it will fail to highlight your token itself because people will be focusing on the "free" money they are reading. Your first article failed to even say something about what Tantum Digital is which for a giveaway contest is also another bad move, most of the readers who don't even know what cryptocurrencies are will fail to understand what kind of prizes/rewards your giveaway have for them.

Hi

We would like to know what would be a good Announcement for a new token?

What would be the key topics that would need to be covered in Announcement for bitcointalk community to join discussion and help out with future development?

Thank you all for reply and hints

Tantum Digital
You should also do a comparing the token you want to announce to another token like it's feature and uses. Try checking on the board that Maus0728 provided and i'm sure you'll get your idea. Also, it's advantage why  people should be aware of this token. About the copper membership that is suggested is for adding images on the Ann thread when you are going to post it. Newbies posting images won't be shown unless havaing a copper membership which will remove the restriction.

The most general requirements would be don't do anything stupid, and do it correctly. To be specific, well, I don't have to iterate what "stupid" means right? Up to you to decide on that. Correctly basically means that information is complete and all requirements are passed out. Just imagine it as creating a research paper for a thesis, it needs to be solid, backed by facts, everything is relied upon by data, and no false information is disclosed no matter what.

Not in the announcement part but before doing as such, might as well prepare a plan for at least 2 - 3 years ahead. Show the people that you actually have something planned, not the notion of your only going to plan after getting the recognition of the people.

Hi

Nice reply... Thank you
About Roadmap  (a plan for at least 2 - 3 years ahead): That's for sure a very important topic that we will for try to implement into Announcement. The only thing about roadmaps is that sometimes they can't be achived exactly as they have been set from the start ~ there are possible shifts in timeline because of unforeseen circumstances, but we think it's good to have at least some development plan revealed to community.

Thank you again

How about you hire a marketer who would handle the publicity of your new token? That way you'll be getting professional service for your project rather than random replies from other members of the forum. You can use the service section already linked on this thread to scout for someone to fill that position.

That's also an option but our opinion is that if we wish to have active community we need to look into starting an ANN from personal point of view; What would community like to see. That's why we first ask about ideas and thoughts inside community.

In any case thank you for your reply.

I think you should developing your whitepaper as it is the most vital requirement in creating such tokens. Whitepaper must cover every essential research and knowledge of experts that argues or giving a specific solution to certain problem. After doing so, you can now create and share the information apropos to the token you are advertising in the market.

Take a look at this

[1] Announcements (Altcoins) > Tokens (Altcoins) --> it'll give you some idea of what to include in your announcement.

[2] Services --> You can use other services of other forum member if you wanted to create aesthetic materials such as website, signature or announcement.

I hope this answers your question. Smiley

Thanks for your reply. We have already started with White Paper and will be soon finished.. In any case we will for sure look into both links you posted and get some additional view on Token announcements and possible hire of community members to help us out.

It should focus on uniqueness and features, with so many tokens and coins announcement in the past, some new projects are just copying other's works, people are always on the search for a new project and they are more on what unique feature that they can offer to the community, but beware copying other's works will end you inn the scam section, scam busters always look if you plagiarize other's works.

Thank you very much for your thoughts. We for sure don't wish to make a copycat with our project. That's why we started with different logic.

additionally since most tokens are created on centralized platforms such as ethereum they are never decentralized.

Oh definitely. The thing is though, a lot, I mean A LOT of tokens(regardless of blockchain) still claims to be "decentralized" regardless. Even the more "reputable" ones like MakerDAO and Brave's BAT claims to be decentralized even if they're obviously not.

There is trouble abrewing
the most important thing that you need to be able to explain is "what problem does your creation solve or what product are you going to return" and "why should people pay you to give them some token that they can not use anywhere".
the problem with all these "tokens" in the past couple of years that phenomena existed is that they solve nothing and they have no reason to exist.

The most important part: BE COMPLETELY HONEST AND TRANSPARENT.

Don't lie about your project being DeCenTraLiZeD if it's not(which I'm 99.9% sure is the case). The last thing we want is another scummy project as if we didn't have enough of those already.

tokens and coins are different. a coin can have a stand alone blockchain and can be decentralized. a token on the other hand depends on another blockchain (a token platform) to exist and function so it can never be fully decentralized. additionally since most tokens are created on centralized platforms such as ethereum they are never decentralized.

"Good Announcement" may succeed in attracting hundreds of followers of the project in the first launch, but if token design is not excellent, you will not achieve more success in the future.

So for the announcement to succeed, token design must be excellent.
Explanation and illustrations of the properties of the token, the developed team, roadmap, and a little technical data.
Create clear links to the support team and social media.
Introducing users to all the benefits in a simple and brief way.

It's not important to have a catchy Ann thread here. It's important to present everything about the project briefly; of course if it has something to be useful for the crypto community, otherwise, none of the catchy things would do anything. Not discouraging at all but that's what is everywhere in Ann section.
