No, dont make governments accept bitcoin. I think it's impossible that government accept bitcoin, because bitcoin is annonymous, they cant track your identity, governments do not like anonymous currency and do ot do anything to device a tool for carry on with that type of currency and bitcoin is not going to deny that feature of itself as it will then destroy the concept of cryptocurrency
no it is not impossible, i think every thing is possible in this world. although in present time it look like difficult but i think in future when bitcoin will become more and more popular when the users of bitcoin will increase more and more, then i am hopeful that the government will take a very positve stop about bitcoin. and hope that they will consider bitcoin as legal currency,  but there is no doubt about that fact that it will take some more time. because the users of bitcoin are still very low.

Best way is to destroy scams. Having scammy exchanges, scammy people running away, this is what make the trust to do not come. Little by little, by not funding them will make them disappear, and a trust will be contructed over the time.

Destroying scams is a very hard task, they are everywhere. What the government or us should do is to raise awareness. If we will raise awareness to the people and to the government about those technique of scams then it will be possible that the government will accept bitcoin and will accept the fact that bitcoin is good for the economy.

Once government finds a way to control or manipulate the bitcoin users surely they will let people know it for their people can earn and be benefited from it same with they can get taxes through the users once they find a way how to put taxes on each user.

Yes it is a sure thing that they are going to manipulate us because the government is always for the tax or profit for the government. Each of the local exchange that has been based on your country will be taxing each of your receiving or sending transactions. I hope that is not going to happen so that we can still pay smaller fees.

That would be the obvious scenario if ever the government finds a way in manipulating bitcoin. First is the additional fees for every transaction. Since the government is able to control bitcoin in their territory then additional fee will exist for the additional gain of the government. Second is implementation of tax. Since bitcoin is a form of investment on other people, tax will be included in the picture. Also, if bitcoin is used in businesses, tax is highly expected. Finally, that particular country will be full of businesses and shops that are accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment. This is a good side if ever they, the government, will be able to manage bitcoin. High rate of transaction will occur and more and more people will be attracted to bitcoin.

I think the increase in additional fees will come in when the amount of people using bitcoins has also increased. I don't think the government will add fees by themselves for every transaction being done, because we see in fiat that we can transact it all without fees.

I still doubt that people wouldn't leave bitcoin when the government were able to have control of it. There's just no point in the government taking the time and effort to get control over bitcoins because it will only affect a million of people which in a global scale is considered as small.

But we should not disregard the fact that the popularity of bitcoin is growing rapidly. And no one will guess how the crypto currency will affect the economy of the country. Therefore, the government can show great interest in bitcoin

I don't think that in my country government will start accepting bitcoins or will start supporting bitcoins as they are involved in corrupted activities and if they start accepting bitcoins then it will be an full stop to their insane activities so I don't think that it will ever happen in future.

Not all the governments are same there would be many who will believe in development of the country and allowing bitcoins will help them in reducing the unemployment issue and will contribute in better development of their economy.

yes all the governments are not same i think some of them in future will allow the bitcoin if all the people know about it and also bitcoin is very helpful in reducing the unemployment.

No government will accept Bitcoin just like they don't accept gold (well, maybe in special circumstances). Fiat currency has a specific use.

Well as a matter of fact, bitcoin is now accepted by the government in some country. Have you heard about Japan, China, Russia, and Philippines, they are countries where bitcoin is accepted by the government. I think you must research first before making your stand. The government's bitcoin acceptance is not too hard for them, they just know that there is a benefit from bitcoin especially on their economy.
Actually, there are no laws concerning using bitcoin, there are no laws  that say that you can’t or can using bitcoin, most governments are neutral when it comes to it, and I think the only way that governments will make bitcoin illegal is if it becomes a real problem for them like if people start using for illegal stuff.

Or if the bitcoin becomes used by a lot of people in the world than they will have to make laws for it and chose whether they accept it or reject it.

If that would be the case, should the government treat fiat as illegal since fiat, up to now, is still the perfect tool used for illegal stuffs? People can use bitcoin in every way they want to whether legal or illegal. No one can control them and it is the same way for fiat so this would be an invalid trigger for  bitcoin treated as illegal.

The government will be the judge if they will legalize bitcoin in their territory or not. They may compromise if their citizens uses bitcoin. And at the moment the legalize bitcoin, a corresponding law will emerge afterwards.

Firstly, make the government officials take bribe in bitcoin and then slowly you can push bitcoin in to government. Jokes apart! I think it's better to keep government out of the equation of bitcoin for the betterment of the bitcoin community. Because till the time government is not showing interest in bitcoin, we are safe.

The moment government and enforcement agencies will start taking interest in bitcoin, we all are doomed. Not all governments are considerate like Japan or Netherlands. They are basically greedy bunch of assholes politicians who will try to fill their own pocket.

Maybe if there's an senator who is using bitcoin and he wants to fight about bitcoin to be accepted in their country government can learn about bitcoin history and others. If government accept bitcoin then it will become usefull or maybe it will become more in demand volume will be up price will raplidy rising.

Senator nor anyone in the government isn't going to be fighting for bitcoin just based on personal preference, they're going to do it if they lobbied too and they're not going to do anything if they're lobbied against it. Everything in politics (and the world) is revolved around people gaining money and furthering them self, so I wouldn't count on the Senator in order to do such a thing, they're bought and paid for by big businesses.

The only way for government to MAYBE start accepting Bitcoin would be if Bitcoin had so much support that the government could gain more in taxes or other revenues if they accepted Bitcoin as one of the payment methods, they could save money by not having to enforce this Bitcoin issue and the people would be happy to buy with their crypto.

I think government need to study more about bitcoin and how it works. Because bitcoin its not easy to use an entire city that that they not study about it. And maybe they not adop bitcoin because some people are not use technology and they don't know how to use modern technology.

Yeah, governments needs to integrate Bitcoin and Fiat in such a way to use it together. It should be in a way that both fiat and digital currency work side by side with no loss in government revenue.
It can work if the governments agree that bitcoin would be an alternative to the fiat and that they will be the ones to dictate how many bitcoin would be in circulation and what policies it must follow. But with bitcoin still in its infancy stage, this might not happen in the near future as most countries still depend heavily on fiat.

That is an absolute correct, for me at least. The government would not let bitcoin to surpass fiat. Fiat will remain as their major form of transaction and payment. And if the government agrees to take bitcoin as an alternative then bitcoin and fiat will surely work together side by side. However, I do not know how the government will dictate how many bitcoin will be in circulation in their economy since they cannot identify who uses bitcoin and how many bitcoin every users have.

I'm not sure that the government is ready to take bitcoin. This is especially true for poor countries. The economy of poor countries is not ready to accept bitcoin. In such countries, bitcoin will kill the economy
No, it depends entirely on which they use to manage bitcoin. Bitcoin really has potential, so poor countries can take advantage of it to develop

How would they even manage bitcoin in their country. I cannot think of a way so please, enlighten us.

I would not disagree that it depends on some factors whether the poor countries will benefit from bitcoin or not. However, it would be so risky for them to engage on this trend (using bitcoin). We know that the welfare of the citizens is the main concern of every government so they did not even bother to take that risk.
