Its late I just spent 3 hours driving to a sick relative. Two accidents made a 95 minute trip about 180 minutes.

I do not know florida rules for solar.

grid tie in is a must for usa miners and every state and each and every power company has different rules.

I do not know what connection you have with a solar installer.

But if you can do 50 x 400 watt panels that is 20k watts an hour.

fl is a six so 6 x 20 is 120 kwatts a day with good grid tie in rules.

so maybe 5 kwatts an hour. surely 4.5 an hour for free.

you could do 2 big rigs 🚛.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/minerdude-12-slot-case-review-5356556

those rigs above are costly maybe 25k
the solar maybe 30k

so 55k out of pocket.

zero to run

right now earns 1400 x 7 cents or 98 a day.

in a year 36k
in 1.5 years  54k

and those are generous numbers.

Hey guys!

So I live in Florida, recently I've been thinking of getting into mining and I have a few questions. Is mining via solar even possible?

Can anyone please steer me in the right direction for other threads that help someone start off mining ETH to maximize profitability?

IS there some sort of step by step guide on what I should get, how to do this, and some kind of proven recipe to mine x currency in my region?

Is ETH the smartest crypto to mine right now? What other cryptos are more profitable to mine? Open to any and all suggestions! Thanks again!!! Grin
welcome ser..

first step for begining for build crypto rigs this recipe for 1-12gpus starter :
psu antec hcp 2x1300w platinum
mobo gigabyte b250 fintech + cpu intel g4400
ram corsair 8gb ddr4 value edition
ssd 250gb
pice 009s riser
mining case
rtx 3060 ti

gminer for nvidia and already include guide
pool ethermine for eth is the best one

after your rig stable, and continue for solar mining which is quite expensive
hybrid solar is quite cheap, full solar very expensive to build mostly costing in lifepo4 battery

Even though the mining algorithm will be changed soon, I would not call ETH mining too attractive. If I had the opportunity, I would definitely focus my gaze on Filecoin on a par with Bitcoin (although I admit technologically, mining this coin is the most difficult of all). By the way, when I talked about the opportunities, I meant a very high entry threshold ... about 30-40 thousand dollars.

Recently I was also interested in a similar question, and it turned out that mining with the help of solar energy has a couple of pitfalls. You have an excellent location, but you still have to resort to the stationary power grid since, apart from the night, the early and late sun also reduces the power, (I will quote philipma1957 so as not to repeat myself).

well a 10k solar install is at best 7 x 10 = 70 kwatts. of power a day.

that is in a desert on the equator.

as the early and late sun lower the power.

an avalon burns 3.4 x 24 = 81.6 or 81 kwatts.

so your 10k watt install will not quite run 1 of the three units.

this assumes a perfect location for solar.

I am in NJ,USA we have a 100k install on 1+ acre it makes 5-5.5 hours a day due to morning and evening being weaker light and of course cloudy and rainy days.

so it makes about 500-550 kwatts of power a day.

It runs a home an office and 1 s19 pro 2 s17 pro 1 gpu rig.

so do the math with 2x 10 k install for the solar. it would come close to running 2x avalon.

The first problem is that Ethereum will soon abandon mining due to a change in algorithm.
Check with the solar panel installer what power rating for home use is and how long it will take to install and configure.
Next, write us the prices and we will try to calculate the possible profit.

I think in Florida is because there is a lot of sun there from what I remember when I worked there a couple of years ago.

In the forum here mostly we talk about problems and how to fix them in mining, profitability and difficulty of the network, miner rewards and things like this.Just a simple google search on how to mine Ethereum would give you a lot of results and a lot of Youtube videos too.

Same as above, search google or Announcements in Altcoin section which describes how to mine x currency wherever you are and not only in your region.

For the moment Ethereum is the most profitable coin to mine with next to it being, ERGO,ETC and RVN.
