Gambling smart means choosing a game which you're familiar and comfortable with , you know the basic and the advanced stuff of it .
You can easily predict the outcome of every slip/match/game and you're usually right about your predictions .
Waiting for the right moment to gamble is also a best practice , for ex , i know that "X" team will face "Y" team next week , "Y" team lacks it's top scorer due to injury and 2 other important players , the outcome of Draw or "X" team to win is great -> betting on a 1X bet with 1.50 odd will be likely to happen -> go for it !
That's smart gambling for me .

I think it is dependig on your technique on how you will make your gambling better, but for me its not a smart way , I agree to you that its like your playing a gamble with a faucet amount . You earn slowly. But it depends on you as I said.

Depends of strategy? Even if you have a tons coins, that's can't able to guaratee your money to be win. Betting with payour 1.01x with 9900x still have a hole of lost.

If you have big bankroll/ have many bitcoins, don't do stupid thing like bet on 1.01x with big amount. It's provably fair and you can lose easily with that bet. Strategy will works if you have big bankroll, like martingale strategy, more balance you have, less risk you got. Because you can long run even you lose much.

To play smart on gambling is to do things that will limit your ability to give in. Like decreasing your access to money. Only keep money for stuff that you are not willing to sacrifice the money to gamble for. Allocate your money, the extra is what you usually gamble with. By that you have no funds to gamble with and gradually you realize that you are not missing anything because life goes on. When you're into gambling, Control and not to be controlled.
