Poker is basically skill-game gambling which need an abillity and knowledge to play, this actually more profit if you good played it. and for some factor can decide the game result, like you said your friend face when playing, your skill and luck(this factor can't inseparable to any gambling games).
I personally not good in poker, so my smart way to play gambling is use an amount which i can afford to lose and usually i using "scalping" strategy, earn small profit constantly.

What do you do to people that has some legit poker face? They don't show any emotion at all. No matter what their card is, they don't change their face at all. They physically don't show that they're shocked, nervous, or glad about the cards. You can't read people like that and I really think that face-reading (if that's a term) would work especially if you're playing with people that have been playing card games for a long time.

Yes playing on gambling gamble with rely on instinct I guess it's like to believe in luck. I ever use my instinct on a roulette game but overall I lose. Using instinct in my opinion not a smart way to gamble, and it would be very risky. The smart way to gamble in my opinion is to have self-control, so that we can know the limit in betting so it does not become addicted and do not drain our money.

well following your instincts is pretty much the same as just hoping that luck would smile at you. i've done that most of the time when playing baccarat and most of the time i end up following opposite what my instincts tell me. it's still 50/50. if you really want to play it smart, stick to types of gambling that doesn't just rely on 50/50 chance without any other factors. sports bets and poker for examples, would have a decent chance as you just don't rely on luck or chances. if you gain enough experience and knowledge, you just might have a better chance than others at winning.

Maybe a better idea is to fade yourself, I have been doing that in sports betting as when I see good lines I think I can win already but I lose. So I come up with a solution which is fading yourself, it's not fun but it's profitable.

Instincts are not good to consider and smart way of gambling if you are going to have hope for every bet that you make.

Better if you will make some strategic plan and the only way I can think about it is that you will not bet too much and start always with small amount.

This is the only smart way that I can suggest, because if you are thinking about instinct you will end up losing all your balance.

Our instinct are wrong most of the time especially in sports betting, when we see the line we grab it easily because we feel that our favorite team is going to win in the game.

Without knowing that bookmakers knows how a typical gambler reacts so they will set the line to be deceiving and make it easy for us to choose the bet but in the end we know our bets had lose.

I don't believe in my instinct too, sometimes I do trust it when I test it. Just like in dice games, when I think if the roll is going to be 51>

Then I will bet on it, but most of the time I fail with it so I just trust my own analyzing and don't lean on my instinct anymore.

Maybe I will just use this for YOLOing. But that is not the smart way though.
