For me and i think the best way to give up a bad habbit like gambling addiction for example has always been to replace it with another good habbit which can take your mind off that bad habit and also it can be constructive to your personality.

Remember the feeling when you lose a lot of money at the casino, online, or through sports betting. Allow yourself to feel that despondency when you are having thoughts about gambling again. You may find that you are less likely to go out and placing a bet. I have done this before, and must admit that these feelings have stopped me from taking that ride to the casino. Not every time, but many times this tool has helped.

if you're talking bout bitcoin gambling then i have a solution for you, throw all your bitcoins on a paper wallet, and hide it or give it to someone to hold. then if u dont have access to the coins, you can gamble.  Grin

I think this is not effective, because they could have instead borrowed the money to the airport or a friend who is getting to reproduce the problem. If you want to go from gambling then the first thing is to remove gambling from our minds and then force yourself not to use gambling. Or it could remain a gamble but by using a very minimum bet
I agree. even though you control yourself to hide all the things that may trigger your addiction. It will still urges you and make you feel uncomfortable with what you did, so surely after a week you will get the coins and do a gambling again.

you need to do it consistently not just once and then give up controlling yourself . that means putting away all the money you earn it can be each day or each week or each month depending on the intervals that you are getting paid, it is a battle that you have to try so hard to win.

So All it's back to your-self. First it's consistently at foundation your mind set. Just this gambling it's for fun, so all will be fine and try to take out from gambling.

Take out what? And by the way, just mindset alone won't help the gambler to leave gambling, he needs to speak out everything to his family to let them too help him get him out of gambling.

Why speaking to family? they just will be like judge him, Mind set are foundation at your life to do. if you've mind set good so all will be good. So MIND SET then this will be happens Smiley

To quit gambling for good what you need is to have CONTROL in your URGES. It is easy to say "I will quit gambling" but if you can't control yourself you will end up gambling again.

How does one Put down Gambling for good?

Have your self banned from every site and casino you play at....Just keep banning yourself until you have no other option but to quit.  And, seek a support group to assist you in your efforts.  In support groups, you'll find that there are others who have similar problems and you can gain knowledge from their experiences.

Lol, that is a good idea. Maybe spam the chatbox or say something that is against their rules. Thank you for that. Mahbe I will ban myself now to other casinos online.
Ohh reminder, withdraw your money first haha.

You can quit gambling for good if you are going to search for another hobby that will keep you busy and will get your head away from gambling. If you manage to do that then you will have a chance yo quit with gambling. If not I am afraid that you will need some professional help.

That is a fact, indeed. It depends of the person's decision if he will quit gambling for the rest of his life, or maybe simply just be rich and he'll stop in the first place. Tongue

I thought back to our intentions, if you are really determined to get out of gambling. You can certainly do that, indeed not be immediately. but every day you are going through it will make you more lazy to do gambling and it must be applied in yourself.

Yeah it should be applied to your self.

Discipline is one of the key factor to get away with gambling, another thing is that you can look for some hobbies or things to do or to perform that are entertaining but still productive, so that you will not feel bored about it.

Forgetting about addiction takes time, and there are a lot of ways to do it.

FTFY. But, if he gives his coins to someone, what if that other person is himself a gambling addict?
OP, you should just start concentrating on other things than going on those sites where you gamble everytime.

Busyness can probably eliminate gambling in our minds, but it only last a while and definitely she will start to rethink about gambling. So the key is to our minds, if we can not/or haven't forget about gambling. Then this will be the idea and way of garbage
