Reaching levels or upgrading to ranks start with making and reaching the required quality posts within the forum, after which you have to wait patiently for the desired duration to get to the next level. On reaching Jr. Member rank, you have obtain required merits alongside the required posts to get promoted to the next. This merit rule holds for all other ranks except newbie rank.
To rank up to jr. Member you need to have 30 activities.
However to become member and so on merits are needed

Now comes a new system implemented by bitcointalk, which is a merit system. This system serves to reduce waste in bitcointalk forums. Merit is in use for someone who wants to ride rank from jr member to member. It takes ten merits to get up rank from jr member to member. How to get it is very difficult, that you must post with a quality post and in accordance with the correct English. 
Your should do constructive and useful posts which can help to other people on this forum and get merit and activity, which should be for your new level on bitcointalk

right, this forum has facilitated it, you can ask but before you ask, you can read this forum thread, do not make thread that often asked. but the hard part is looking for merit, because it must be given by other members. for that do not despair and keep the spirit

Well, I think I still don't understand the merit system but I understand the rank system.
It's easy to understand, to rank up you must have activity + merits.
You can have more activity each 2 weeks

You need to be active here in bitcointalk and post so that your activity will increase too and it will automatically level up when you already meet the required number of activity.
You need to actually post!! From what i see you dont really post and stay active on these pages since you only have 3 activity posts...
There are several posts on this forum, you should use the search function. Surely you have to post more respect at your actual post number (3).

Woah, that’s a lot of time wasted there bud. What I can advise to you is you keep yourself active in this forum. Not just reading articles. Get involve, comment, suggest ideas, participate, and engage yourself like bitcoin has a part in your heart. Cheesy, but true. Learn the rules first, and I recommend you searching for the merit system as your question is about ranking up.
Can you give me how to gain merit? I still don't know how to get that.

But sadly I have one thing to say. I checked your account creation date. It was 25th of September 2017. If you were active here and made posts regularly you could have been at least a full member now. But look at your post count. Still just 3.
You need to be active everyday and participate for all discusion and to have own topic. atleast 30-up post within 45 days. so you can expected that your rank will be level up. but for now you can start and be patient for it. God bless

You need to be active in bitcointalk forum and make post so that your post and activity will automatically increase and when it reaches the maximum post your level will go up.
Well, even if you have an account older than 5 years, it won't a rank up unless you are an active member of this forum. The rules of account ranking have changed and now you will not only need activity points but also you will have to reach the minimum amount required for merits. Merits are like Facebook likes but there is a limited number of merits that a member can give to another member, so in order to earn merit points you have to post quality content. It is highly discouraged to ask/buy/beg for the merit points. Just keeping it simple and natural is the best way to gain the next rank.

So if you want to level up need to post or quote other post but remember never post on off topic section or low-quality post or quote otherwise you will be ban. Now you can try to read every post on this forum and try to help others and also create a topic . But now level up is so hard because you need merit to level up your rank so make a high-quality post to get the merit.
If you are an active user in this forum at early 2017, probably you have a full member account right now, you've missed the boat wherein you can level up just by an increase of activities without being meritted.
Just be active by posting in every topic with quality. A good quality post will be awarded by merit that helps you to rank for more.

You have to read and comment in many topics that you want and should not be beyond the topic of others and post as much on topic so as not to be deleted.

It is never by how old your account is. For you to have created your account since 2017 and still remained a newbie confirms that you have never been active. Follow the discussions and contribute constructively and am sure you will grow. Am also advicing myself as we are still in the same rank.
Step 1 - learn to read
Step 2 - Read the fucking stickies instead of filling the boards with copies of topics that have been posted hundreds of times before.

Then your account will be on the higher level or rank soon. Just wait and be more patience on this. Hardwork is the key to success.
You can have the account as long as you want but you need to post and be active! If you do not post then nothing will happen your activity will stay the same and you will never be able to rank up in that case. So make sure you post!!

Well, to be honest, the first question you should do to yourself is "Why I need to rank up?". Be careful with becoming obsessed with ranking up, for it is now quite difficult due to the merit system. Nevertheless, you can learn from the best. Just take a look at the posting activity of users as DdmrDdmr or Bitmover, both have rank up in no time, thanks to their amazing contributions. So, just learn from the best, be humble and never beg for merits or such a kind of attitudes. The forum is a place for learning and discussing. So read, read and read and you will see how your contributions become better and better, and, with that, you will be able of ranking up.
You just need to learn more about bitcoin by gathering some information to others who knows alot about bitcoin. In this case, you just need to discover more about bitcoin. Just keep on posting and replying but you need to review your doings before posting it.

Even if you registered in 2017 you are Newbie as your Activity is still 4. To become a Jr. Member rank you need 30 Activity. For Member or higher rank, you also need to satisfy the merit requirement. Read this thread:

It's tough to rank up. But you can. You need to post good with value. Grammar, spelling also do matter here. Your activities also matter. So to rank up this is all you need to do.
In what forum would you get a rank just from creating an account?
 I'm relatively new here and I noticed this merit system and it's quite confusing, so one can only become Jr. Member from activity, and after that, it comes from merit.
You must join the discussion in this bitcointalk forum, its usual for beginner to go to jr.member level takes 45 days with 30 activity requirement.
Yes, indeed. You just have to keep your account active by doing posts everyday specially to those topic who only have few pages of comments and your post must be correct so that it will be counted as activities.
You need to just be active and post a lot. However with the new merit system it is a lot more difficult to rank up. Make sure you make quality posts with good grammar and your on your way to ranking up.
