You are most wekcome. If you received a notification but the merit count is not correct then you can set your merit count to the correct count by sending this command /setmerit (your total merit). I already added the command to the op. As what I see in the image you provide it seems that it is in correct count. Honestly, It only happened in my telegram once that the count is synchronized where it should be (example your total merit is 83) but the notification in telegram is 81 merits.

I have been using this bot for a long time. This is a very useful bot. There was some problem in my bot few weeks back like the number of received merit was wrong. But now it's okay. It is very easy to install. Thanks TryNinja for creating this bot.
There is a command you can use to set the merit count to the correct count. You have to type /setmerit(space merit count.). I have added to op. Seems I forgot about it when I myself also experienced the same thing where I had to finf out from TryNinja amount setting merit to the correct count of merits when you received a merit. As of now, works great and receive notification from tracked topics, quoted, mention through posting your username.

I just saw this, and it's incredible that there's a bot like this that exists so that we can track who ever replies to our posts, especially if there's a specific thread where we expect to have a good discussion. I already have one, the Btctalk_meritbot, which I started using last year, and your bot does the same, but Btctalk_meritbot doesn't alert me if someone has merited me, so I'll absolutely use your bot.
Also, if there is an existing discord bot that does the same thing, I'd be happy to utilize it because I'm pretty active in discord and it'll always keep me up to date on my forum activity.

It is very easy to setup and it won't take a lot of time to setup the bitcointalk SuperNotifier. You only need to provide the UID to start using the bot for free or without payment. Its all thanks to the creator of this bot which I only share on how to set it up without the hairy hand with smartwatch as mentioned in previous page. Thanks this post have really helped me now whenever am been mentioned on bitcoin or whenever I receive merit am always been notified on Telegram which is really nice because something someone will reply to your post but you won't know but with the help of this your post now whenever am been mentioned I receive a notification.

No you can't but you can follow the user you wanted to follow and you will know of that forum user will create a new thread or a post. Try to check out the link given by Maus0728 and see if it is what you are looking for. Unfortunately, this bot is for merit and mention notifications. You can also track topics where you'll receive notifs when a forum user posted on the thread you track. I guess it's good that there is a tutorial like this in B&H (although I'm not sure it doesn't already exist), but I'm 100% sure I've already read the tutorial for this bot in Meta posted by @fillippone, with the addition that he showed how to use this bot with smartwatches.

Telegram users in general can't see the phone number associated with your Telegram account. So, even if you and me where having a private chat over Telegram, we can't see each others cellphone numbers. But if you add me into your contacts book or I added you, we would both be able to see the phone numbers of our accounts. My guess is that Telegram bots don't have any additional permissions or that they can spy on us. Maybe they make logs of IPs that access them!? July 23, 2021, 03:21:08 AM
Those who set the bot already but didn't get notifications even if the settings is ticked on and the settings in telegram is also ticked on. All you need to do to get notifications is to delete the bot and you have to re set the bot and it should be working now.

You can ask igehh. He/she have been using this bot and my guess is that he/she didn't have problem with the bot as this bot is for notifications alone so nothing to worry about it. On igehhh's case is the bot won't notify igehhh that he/she is being mentioned. I manage to help igehhh to get notifications from the bot.

Nope. You don't need to provide any such info. your bitcointalk username and userid are enough to set up this bot.You ask the creator which is TryNinja. When you setup this bot you don't have to input your personal and phone number but you need a phone number to create a telegram account.

This is how my settings has been for the past 5 months I disabled merits yet it was merits notifications I keep getting.
(X) means enabled ?
(✅) means disabled ?
X means it is enabled and ✅ means it is disabled. Your settings before that is enabled is only merit notification that's why you didn't received any notification about you being mentioned or by quote and only receive merit notifications. Change your settings that wiml show X and let me know when you done changing it and I'll quote your post and see if it works.(X) means enabled ?

You ask the creator which is TryNinja. When you setup this bot you don't have to input your personal and phone number but you need a phone number to create a telegram account.

This is because you may not have enabled the Mention Notification.To do this click on the menu or type /Menu then click on Notifications and click Enable Mentions. Done... Now whenever someone quotes your post, you will get notification of it.

Try to open menu on the bot /menu. Make sure you enable the notifications from mentions. We have the same notification with AhmadM. Just make sure you enabled it. I have tried disabling the mention notification then I didn't receive notification and when I re-enable, I did received notifications again. If, telegram is not showing notifications then you might have not allowed notifications from telegram.Quote

I just wish the forum had something like follow a member so that you would not miss their posts. Using a bot like the one above is fine but it would be more convenient without downloading a browser extension to have it implemented on the forum and I think a lot of people would find use for it.

Most new forum software have this feature, considering bitcointalk uses an old smf version so this might be near impossible to be implemented as of now on this current software. Actually, I don't know if someone did create another notification bot aside from what hatshepshut shared that is made solely for this forum that y doesn't use telegram but I tries just now and it said user denied permission to use the Push API. What I know is that the forum also have notifications through email. You can find it on profile and then Notifications and Email but you won't know it right away if someone did mentioned you through quote and you won't receive a notification about it compared to this telegram bot unless you always check your email.

I would like to use it instead of getting notified when I get @ I would like to track some of the members here that I like the posts of and would like to have multiple notifications if possible.
Yes, there is a bot that I created - https://bct-quote-notifier.herokuapp.com/. It uses browser's push notifications, but due to Firefox's implementation of this mechanism it's unstable on this browser, your subscription randomly disappears in a week or so. Works fine on Chrome though.
