Was also searching for a mobile wallet that is able to sign a message. But it seems that this function isn't available in the IOS version of mycelium. I know that Coinbase can also sign a message if you use the web browser. Hope there will be once a wallet that can do the job for IOS.
Did you check blockchain's IOS app. Seems they are also not having signing message feature with their ios app as per their descriptions. As of now, it seems using browser version would be the only available solution for those who are looking to sign a message on the go.

~snip~
I also want to ask a signing message related question so instead of making a new thread, let me post it here.
I want to know which android wallet offers this facility as I don't have access to web wallet
Very easy to do with mycelium.
Download the app, set it up,go to Accounts, click/press account you want, click on options(upper right), and choose sign message function. Enter pin code then sign away.  Grin

Hi,
I need to sign a message using a bitcoin address that comes from a Bitstamp wallet.
How can I do that please?
Thanks a lot
Can't do that with an exchange wallet so, you will have to import it to a desktop wallet, blockchain.info, or mycelium.
But when importing addresses, I think you'd need the private keys or it'll be a 'watch-only' address. (Not too sure though)

Mycelium have a signing message option.
Web wallets like blockchain can be accessed with your android mobile browser jfyi.

Signing message with online wallets are problematic. I don't use online wallets usually so I don't know if any online wallet offers this option now - blockchain.info no longer supports it.
Blockchain.info web wallet still have this feature but only for addresses that are imported to your wallet not the address wallet have generated for you.

It can be found under settings > addresses > Imported Address > More options (in each of the imported address) > sign message

As everybody have said you can't sign message using bitstamp generated bitcoin address, so there will be no any solution for you. Better you lock this thread.

Bitstamp  offers deposit feature but that doesn't mean it is a full fledged wallet with all wallet's functionality. All you can do with it is withdraw BTC to 'normal' wallet of your choice.

All posts above me is correct bitstamp is an exchange and there's no way that you can sign message the addressyou will use there. If you want to sign message try using mycelium wallet (for smartphone) they have some feature to sign message even its an imported address as long you use mycelium.

It's not possible . Bitstamp is an exchange and not a wallet so they don't give you control over your private keys as far as I know. It's better to switch to a desktop wallet instead as all exchanges and most of online wallets now don't let you sign messages (Blockchain.info included after upgrading to HD mode but I should be available soon according to their support page)

Afaik bitstamp is an exchange, right? You can't sign an exchange wallet.
You can see a list of wallets where you can sign a message in an address if you will read here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-sign-a-message-990345
