yes this is one the best topic that explain how to sign a message with your btc address.
you can use also blockchain wallet Wink but not all cloud wallet have this function!

Try use electrum wallet, it's easy to use, the security features is good enough to secure your coins. Also sign/verify message is easy as click. https://electrum.org/

First you should tell us which wallet are you using because not every wallet has the option to sign a bitcon message, some other do not provide private key but you are able to sign a message(like coinbase). Once you sign them you can check if it is valid by verifying here: https://tools.bitcoin.com/verifier.html
