money shot 53db standing in the bedroom door
this is good enough for me.  I am sure I can go under 50db but I do not need to do that.

Any idea why they don't sell these "duct mufflers" at Home Depot?

I moved my fans from my miner after I water cooled it.
I can hide it in my dorm and let it mine quietly and my room-mates have absolutely no idea it's been hiding there!
Trying to sound proof it with the fans connected is an admirable task.

How low did you get the dB with the mufflers?

62 db but a very good pitch

I can do lower
since temps are 54 with fan dropped to 40%

I also have not fully finished the sound proofing.

Next step is set fans to 35%

See if you can make it sound as low as an S3 and I might buy one.

Fast note Setting custom fan speed to 40% and the mufflers get really good results.

the fans speed at 3000 on 40% setting
temps are stable
and with mufflers in place db readings are good.
