So here I am with about 1.5$ in my poloniex account today. What advice would you give me to make this 1.5$ into 150$ by the end of next year that is 2018?

Anyplace I could get to know about pump n dumps before they happen? Any particular cheap crypto that I should hold onto?
It is pretty much difficult to make 1.5$ into 150$.
But it is not impossible.
You have to invest in the large supply coins which supply is very low.
Then you might have the opportunity to get 100X from that coin but it is very tough on current market situation.
I suggest you to start trading with at least 50$.

Well, 1$ is a small amount and you will get peanuts by trading that amount.
Maybe try to join some pump and dump group in telegram

Sometimes the cryptocurrencies can bring incredible profits, yes, but I think it is not a logic thing that starting with just $1 and expecting big amounts. I think the money which you want to reach good profits with it, must be a little bit valuable also.

One dollar, wow. How can you messed up so badly that you are left with a buck in your portfolio. I hope you have some more funds to send to your account because the most a dollar can get you is a hot dog. You're basically trying to multiply that hot dog value, which isn't much. And at the best case scenario, let's say you make a 500% return, your net worth would now be five hot dogs instead of one. My point is that your one dollar investment capital is not enough to waste your energy and though in what you would do. You coming to the forum and typing this out, and all these people replying to it (including myself) have just wasted so much more than that one dollar. But hey, we're here for the lols too, so I don't mind.

1 dollar is too small for investments, I know that everything big was start in small but 1 dollar is very small to invest. On what kind of investment you put your 1 dollar?  You have to work first so you have enough money to invest, you can join some campaign here in forum so you can have your enough money to invest.

I think in crypto it is possible to invest with very few money, since there are fees like 0.2%. It is clearly possible to make big returns with even tiny amounts

I guess $ 1 is too little for an investment. even where trusted investments require a minimum of money for investment. try to make it bigger by collecting it. maybe you can start investing when you already have $ 10.

Probably you couldnt invest with $1 because network fee is already above $1. Minimum you could try $200 or if you dont have money. You can work as bounty hunter first. After you got your payment then you can start to invest on some good ico. Always research the whitepapper before investing.

With this amount of ice cream you can not buy, because you will not withdraw the money. But for the rest of the time you can at least take part in a bounty compaign. Just many compaigns end by the end of the year and even if you do not have any experience at all, but there is a desire, I think that it will be possible to earn some money, maybe even more than $ 150

Nice idea to play around in your head, but as everybody is saying - 1.5$ is too little.
I was having similar thoughts to experiment with small amounts and see where it could get me, but most of all to learn trading first hand.
For the same experimental reasons a month ago I put 30$ just for day trading. Found a coin that I believe in (so that even if market goes diving I still hold something that could bounce back in a near future), analyzed it on one exchange for few days, made sure that it can make 5-10% per day, made the move, if the weather was good such 5-10% swings could happen 10-15 times per day. After one month made 2.5x. At one moment I got overconfident and started to look for similar movements in other coins, made some bold moves. Learned my lessons.
Such experiment won't make me rich but the experience I gained from swingtrading, daytrading, ping pong, how market moves, and don't trade against bots, is just priceless.

If you wan't to experiment, I suggest try something 20-50$.
1.5$ is just too small to even see results of your experiment.

IMHO you should try your luck with ETN currency. It could at least marginally increase your investment budget and potentially open up other opportunities  Smiley

You can just save it and make more money by working in campaign or just help others for $$$ and after some time make more than 1$ to invest in one of coins.

Just get a job, or you can get more money by gambling that 1 dollar into 2 dollars (lower risk)
I would suggest that the guy do that while getting a job so he will have money left over for other things.

If you can go back to 2009 to buy Bitcoin then your profitability will likely increase dramatically because you can own more than 100BTC but at this time $ 1 can only be the transaction fee and not can make a profit

One dollar is a very small amount, even the fee of transactions is bigger than this amount actually, regardless you re trading BTC or altcoins. It is better for you to work online for crypto currencies, doing jobs and tasks, participating in bounties, or selling your services and goods. With time you will collect a good amount and then you can start investing or trading easily.

There are only 2 options:
1)Buy cheapest altcoin and hope it will skyrocket next year
2)Wait for couple more years until someone invent time machine, go back to 2009., buy bitcoins, return to 2017. give bitcoins to younger you and tell yourself to sell it in 2018.

i will agree with your first suggestion but on number two, lol thats insane strategy and probably wont work .he even cant buy any coins because he cant pay the tranasction fees with that said amount. @ op i suggest add another dollar to your account to be able to purchase something but dont expect too much because youll just be dissapointed at the end.

One dollar? Damn and I thought that I didn't have enough capital to invest. Dude, with one dollar you ain't doing anything - the fees that are charged from exchanges usually take 1-2 dollars, which mean you are likely to be indebted by 100% if you try to "invest" that one dollar. Please try to get some more money and put it then into crypto.. one dollars makes no sense.
One dollar is not even enough to pay the current bitcoin fees, it seems some people have a completely mistaken idea about the state of bitcoin, one dollar may have been enough right at the beginning of cryptocurrencies but now after almost 10 years if you want to make money you need to be ready to invest a good sum of money as well, one dollar is not going to cut it, in my opinion you need at least a few hundred dollars if you want to make some investments.

I don't know for sure... of course you can't pay the bitcoin fees, but in investing in really cheap alts, and with luck, maybe he could do something.
In an ideal world, I'd like to think that even people with really short income could invest in crypto and achieve some projects (maybe not to be rich, but to build something).
Plus we mustn't forget there are nowadays, even in Europa, countries where the minimum monthly income is 250 or 300$. So 1$ doesn't have the same relative value at all !! From that perspective I think we shouldn't discourage such initiatives.
