HOW TO STOP HACKERS TO HACK YOUR CRYPTO WALLET
Protect yourself from cyber criminals

Good day to all of you guys I am EdsnowAngel a programmer and a bit security tester in different platforms. Now I heard to my friends a lot of concerns saying "please help me my bitcoin wallet was hacked!!"
Ok ok first thing first when your bitcoin wallet gets compromised then your funds was send in different wallet then it is irreversible meaning no return of funds!! so I wanna tell everyone how to protect your bitcoin wallet from such kind of situation.

1st: Protect your GMAIL or EMAIL ACCOUNT

We all know we use GMAIL as our email provider for such accounts like blockchain then we can recover and approve login with email in some wallets, now when your email account was targeted and get compromised then say goodbye to your bitcoin. To secure your bitcoin wallet(ex: blockchain or other) go to your google account settings. and then turn on the 2FA(2nd factor authentication) here is the guide on how to do it: STEP BY STEP GUIDE

2nd: Use your own DEVICE or COMPUTER/PHONE

It's a very bad idea to use someones device(ex:from friend) to make a transaction in your bitcoin wallet why? because first you don't know what is the capability of that person regarding that matters and you don't know if that phone has a lot of malwares and spywares. So we cannot say that you are safe using someones device to make transactions.

3rd: Always backup you PK's or PRIVATE KEYS

This is the most important thing to remember for everyone using your ETH or BTC wallet without backing up your Private keys then you can't recover you wallet in case you forgot your wallet.PK's are very important but there are thing you should do first. Make sure you store your PK backup somewhere that you only know and not from your computer because there are some spyware that might inside of your computer that can steal that file so make sure you back it up print in a paper and hide it to the place where you only know.

4th: Don't open links from malicious emails

This method was called email phishing where an attacker will send the same email in thousands of random users once the victim will click the link in that email then his or her device was compromised to avoid this please do not click the links included in the email immediately please always have time to check who is the sender of that email and if that email is came from the site where it supposed to came from.

5th: Do not trust PUBLIC WIFI

It's quite good to have access with free wifi's but have you think this: IS THIS A SAFE NETWORK? without you knowing maybe some of the people connected to that same network may have idea and skill on how to sniff passwords and credentials this method was so called DNS SPOOFING or SNIFFING if you want to use public wifi then use it not just with your bitcoin transactions.

6th: Do not login on Suspicious links

This method is called PHISHING where an attacker  will send you a link to login with your bitcoin wallet luring you with the legitimate site example is:
the real site is: https://www.blockchain.info/
the fake site is: http://www.blockchain.ga/

then once you login to the fake site then the hacker or attacker will have now your credentials. Please always check for the green lock on the url bar and the word HTTPS in the link.

so this are some of the way to stop hackers to hack your bitcoin or crypto wallet. If you have other information then you can comment it down and lets help others.

I will also like to recommend IMTOKEN WALLET I guesost of us know about the App it works offline as well which getting the private key and the rest of it all is simple and when recommending saving your private key I don't recommend you safe it on cloud, a good way to save it is on your diary or write it down at the back of your pictures. Where you will not get to misplaced it and better still you can go ahead Saving it in a flash drive.

there is no strong way to protect hacking but if you keep your private key in offline and if you keep your btc in offline or paper wallet.it can help you to save your wallet.
yes, keep it in the hardware wallet or offline according to also good but using a wallet like that we also have to guarantee our own hardware to avoid viruses that can be the source of the hack

That's the thing that you must avoid from virus viruses that want to take your assets slowly. You have to solve this problem.

Nice information for all of us and i also appreciate you for this topic because many of us will secure their account after reading this. But i also adding two-three things with your provided list because i think these are also important with it:-

1. Always open your accounts in INCOGNITO window because no one can hack it and after closing this, all our data like sites, passwords etc. are automatically erased.

2. Always use hardware wallet, which is the safest way to protect our coins from hacker and without our knowledge and permission no one able to withdraw our coins from it.

3. Avoiding Bots services who offer you to get free Bitcoin or Ether by joining it.

=> I think if we follow all these steps, then it is not possible for anyone that they can hack our account.

In order to penetrate hackers to steal your coin, you better protect your wallet. Choose the ones that can be stored and can protect your Bitcoin number best. Do not visit the black sites and risk the hacker's access to your wallet.

You have a point about keeping the private keys into offline mode and also your btc accounts, but to make sure that if you don't really want to be hack then make sure you have proper anti-virus and don't let anybody can access all of your accounts including your personal emails.

Earn more with Earn Network
Hackers work tirelessly to get into the private data of people. Their work cannot be stopped but rather protect ourselves from their attacks. It is always best to avoid links from mails that are not recognized. Wallets login details must not be stored in your mails. Keep wallet details safe by backing up using a flashdrive which can be hidden in a place known by you alone.

These tips are really good, especially for newbies. Maybe you can add hardware wallets or you may more focus on 2 Factor Authentications because it is really necessary for security.

Likely to be difficult but there is one way to use a different wallet, because in this way hackers will also have difficulty because the wallet that is used by the victim is too much. so please try and I'm sure this is very effective.

One specific and complete guidance for current and future Bitcoin holders. There are too many dangers around us, always a good trait in this market. Bad situations can happen, save the security stuff in the computer and copy it to a separate object to make it safer.

That's simple, I guess. You just need to be more vigilant in yourself, don't trust to any suspicious emails, and don't trust or install any applications from unknown developers for it may contain malware that would steal information from your pc and would eventually hijack your pc. All those kind of stuff must be observed and never put your crypto wallet's information in your email or in your PC.

this is just simple yet more people forget to do this simple steps in protecting their self in the internet world right so I consider this important and precautionary measures.

There are some idea to stop hackers to hack your crypto wallet. First, Get a hard wallet: The safest option is to keep your private keys away from the internet, so that hackers cannot steal them. For this reason several companies developed usb key like wallets that allow you to store your Bitcoin offline and protect them with strong encryption and a PIN code, so it's called hardware wallets or hard wallets. Second, Use Two Factor Authentication: If the wallet offers a two-factor authentication (2FA) take it. This means that if someone had access to your login details, they would also need your phone to get the 2FA code. Third, Don’t Use Public Wi-Fi: Never use public Wi-Fi networks or public computers to make any transactions. Doing so will ensure that nobody can ever know your password and use it for stealing away from you. Forth, Do create backups: Kept in a secure place, a backup of your cryptocurrency wallet may save you from hardware failures and a lot of human slipups. It will also let you restore your wallet in case your PC or telephone gets stolen. Fifth, Keep Private Keys Offline: If you have wallets on your computer, always store your private keys offline either on an external hard drive or as a hard copy, stored someone in your house. If someone gains access via malware or public Wi-Fi, this allows you to limit what they can find or take, which buys you time to realize that your device is comprised before anything important is stolen.
