I mean, i don't think you should actually quit if you need it... maybe seek a therapist of some sort?

You can easily stop it if you are placing sleeping pills with your love one. Try to spend your time with your special one who's company you enjoy and love to talk her... Then you can see the magic. Your bad habits turn into Good habits and you will free from the pills

The best way to stop taking sleeping pills or sedatives is to gradually reduce the dose with the guidance of a doctor. Psychological or therapeutic support can help.

Best way is to consult a doctor.
But not really, most of the doctors see this as business strategy so they will be prescribing the pills again and again with lesser harm but still its a harm so we can do it on your own if we are having better mental strength so trying it is okay in this lockdown.
My experiences have been like what you describe.
Years ago I had a doctor discourage me from going off a pain medication, under brand name Norco. I was on 2 a day at the end, after telling him to take me down from 6-8 a day. I went down 1 pill a day, every month. Then at 2 he says "why keep going, you're fine at 2 a day, most can't do just two a day, my concern is if the pain returns" I went to rehab with a medical detox, best month of my life. That Dr should have prescribed me a benzo for a month and encouraged me to go lower. This Dr. was different from the one who prescribed me fentanyl, the strongest opiate for humans. I was 20, never heard of fentanyl patches. He tells me it's better for me than the 2 norcos a day I'm taking, I thought it sounds great. Then I see the box said palliative care only. I had nerve pain, I'm not going to die from it though. I looked up how strong they were, and still took them.  Grin
I lost a year falling asleep on those things. At the end of the day I don't blame the doctors but they're not to be trusted more than your google bar.

Best way is to consult a doctor. But since we are in lockdown try to reduce the dosage first until you can bear not taking for a day. Exercising and healthy diet can help as well and drink a glass of milk, it can help you to sleep. I dont have the same problem but I know what you've been going through, my sister experience the same thing before.

With benzodiazpine class you can die from cold turkey withdrawals. They're a big mental one too though. Most can handle a DR tapering schedule, if the doc cooperates and knows his job. It's easier for some of us in a detox. Sleep pills can be done but you need to maintain your head, that can mean slowing a taper for a day or 3, it's not hard with the right help. You'll get through it, judging by the way you're worried. I'm still really young but have 6 years away from doctor pills. I take it for granted. You'll get here too. Good luck

Reduce the dosage amount step by step this is the only solution to quit any addictive medicine, even if you visit Psychiatrist they will do the same so do it on your own and one day you can completely quit from it.

You need to prevent taking these anti-anxiety pills for sleeping If you employ it a day, you'll become hooked in to it and become hooked in to it which can have a detrimental effect on your health. Exercise a day to guard your health and also exerting, then at the top of the day you'll nod off on your own you'll not need any such medicine Better a poor horse than no horse in the least.

Sorry to hear this mate but this is why i prevent myself from taking sleeping pills because my Cousin use to be like you, when She starts taking this pills She got addicted and cannot sleep at night without taking .

and now She is in struggle like you,Hope you both will overcome this and like a drug addict will stop taking .

Sorry to hear about her. It is really painful to not be able to sleep without taking those. Methods which have been most effective for me till now is to do rigorous physical exercise through the day and then there's little problem to sleep even if I don't take meds.
You said it right mate but She is moving on now mate this past days she starts to lessen the dosage taking and targeting to stop using at least a month or so from today.

Hope you can also start to make the same.
The best way to stop pills is to exercise every day.
This would tire your body and this fatigue is going to help you sleeping easier without any need of taking pills.
Do things during the day that would make you feel tired.
Yeah making yourself tire the whole day will make you sleepy at night.

You should consult an expert through online. Because from what I know, once you have started taking, you'll never stop it when your body has already adopted that practice of you taking it every day.

Only a med expert can help you with this matter. Ask your local community and ask them for a consultation that you can conduct online, tell them what you're feeling and they're the best to give you the appropriate solution or practice that you should do.

I do not recommend taking any pills at all.

The first thing you need to do is start eating healthy foods (eat more vegetables, herbs), eat organic vitamins and minerals, omega-3. If you have any bad habits, you also need to remove them from your life (alcohol, smoking, etc.). This is the first thing to do right away.

Also engage in physical activity (this removes stress, since cortisol, the stress hormone, is suppressed, and vasospasm is removed)

Go to bed at 10-11 pm and get up early too (it is very important not to go to bed late).

If the problem doesn't resolve itself, then you will need an examination in the hospital. However, in 99% of cases with a healthy lifestyle, all problems are fixed.

You seem to have been addicted to that drug...
the best way I have ever experienced to eliminate drug addiction is to reduce the dose of its use if you usually take the drug 1 item every day then try consuming only half item in one day.

I had almost thesame problem few years ago. I started taking a pill (pain killer) I was given to by a relation to probably help me feel relaxed, exercise more, for pains etc. I took one the first day and felt really "good". I asked for more the next day and got one or few. I asked where he get them from and was surprised such a "good drug" was widely available in drug shops/pharmacies. Bought alot and got hooked to it. Tried to unhook but it was difficult for me. Then I started taking few and few every day till I stopped taking it, and that was what really worked for me.
The experience made me wonder why highly addictive drugs would be allowed in drug stores.

I was tempted to go back to the pill last year or so, probably due saddeness/worries. The sadness was eventually solved by Something way Better. I no longer feel sad(esp prolonged saddest) otherwise I probably would have gone back to the drug. (My friend, to be honest, it was total repentance, reading/listening to GOD's Word always that actually fully saved me)

Daily exercise may no be effective for all cases. I have problems with insomnia but I still work. I tried several times to quit medicine but I did not successful and looks like there is no alternatives. I just pray and stay satisfied what God gifted to me and will not complain to God.
My advise is to go to bed early. Wake up daily at a fixed time. Eat foods which is full of antioxidant. Take deep breath in open air.

I think you don't need to consume that drug because you can try by yourself to relax before you sleep. The drug will not help you in the long term, but it could help you to give relaxation for yourself. If you care about your future, you should try to stop consume that drug, and maybe you can contact the psychiatrist by online because that is the only method that we can use to check up ourselves.

Make your body clean, use thin clothes, lay your body on the bed, enjoy the situations, and say to yourself that you need to take a rest and sleep. You can do that when you close your eyes, and while you breathe, you can enjoy the moment. Don't think about anything, only enjoy the moment, better if you pray before you close your eyes.
