Hey! I want to get into ICOs, want to invest in few and also work for them as translator, advisor, PR etc. Could you tell me is there a wallet (preferably offline) where I can store all my tokens? It can also be a online wallet but secure one. Thanks for any advices! I know I can store them in ETH dresses when they are made in ether - but want the wallet to keep track of every single one. Regards Smiley

I do not know the various places to store ico I know, I keep some of my coins in Myetherwallet.

Some ICO's tokens provides their own online wallet or offline wallet like Sebeum and waves or you can use exchanges to store your tokens for the mean time you will eventually trade it then convert it into a your fiat currency or whatever you like to do. I dont know any other wallet provider that supports multiple altcoins besides crypto exchanges. Also an online wallet is probably the choice cause if something happens on your pc your money is still safe.
Did you just advice that people should use exchange wallet to store token? If it is ethereum token dont ever use exchange wallet. It will be lost since exchange wallet is not compatible with etc 20 tokens.

I highly recommend MyEtherWallet because its is used by majority of us who are getting into ICO's to receive token and store it safely. I am also using Coinomi which is an Android wallet that offers a lot of coins you want and it's ETH wallet supports Dapp which you can store token that is based on Ethereum blockchain. I found this two wallet safe for our coins because we have the control of our own private keys although I used MyEtherWallet just recently and yeah it is proven safe anyway.

most people tend to use MyEtherWallet to buy, sell, and store ERC20 tokens obtained from cryptocurrency ICOs. One thing that makes MyEtherWallet so attractive is how it is an online wallet, even though it provides offline hardware wallet support at the same time. More specifically, users can generate a wallet address and use their Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet to access their account and provide additional security.

It's a token, then any Eth wallet will be ok for that.

You should use myetherwallet. As soon as token is created on chain, its going to be shown on mew. Even if you cannot see it, some tweaks are going to be enough to fix this (adding coin manually)

First of all it depends on the platform used by the ICO. Most are a compliant of ERC20 and therefore I guess the safest to use is MEW. There are also a lot of ICO that are now using Waves platform because of its simplicity. If you are not holding a lot then there is nothing wrong if you will use an online wallet with there private key.

Myetherwallet is probably a safe choice, you can also have an offline wallet but i suggest you only do that if you have a high investment as it could be troublesome

Offline wallets are ok but be careful with them, you don't want to lose your coins. Myetherwallet is the only ether wallet I will trust because you get the privatekey and there about 7 other ways to secure your account so you can just take your pick. I used the SCAM site my-ethereumwallet or something like that. The website is still online I don't know why and it was even advertising on google ads which is really bad.

Never use any wallet without getting a privatekey.
I have seen those too whenever I search MEW in google. Let us be very careful of those sites. There are a lot too on playstore if ever you are going to use an application. Be very careful, always make sure that you hold the private keys.

There are various options you could go for if you want to store the ICO tokens in a safe place. The first thing which you have to do is to find out on which platform was the token created. Tokens can be created on Ethereum , waves etc ... based on which we can find out where to store our tokens.
If the tokens are build on ETH platform then myetherwallet would be the best choice to store the tokens. It its build on waves platform then you can use a waves wallet to store your tokens. You could also use the ICO's website as they would be having an online wallet to store the tokens. If they have an offline wallet then you can go for that option too.

For me the most trusted to store ICO tokens is myetherwallet. But it's not a guarantee your token will be safe there. because myetherwallet is already a lot of its phishing sites that have many people affected it. I guess to always check the site you visit.
yes right, lately a lot of phishing about Myetherwallet, it all depends on us, always check the web, if you can just bookmark when you are sure that there is official website.

MEW is the best hands down for erc20 tokens. Using it in conjunction with a Trezor makes it as secure as possible.

I really don't see purpose for other ETH type wallets at this point. Imagine someone will come in and disrupt, but for time being MEW is ( o Y o )

I highly recommend you to have a wallet that has your own private key. Just like other suggested MyEtherWallet.com is recommended by many when it comes to ETH or support ERC20 tokens. You should try also Coinomi wallet because it also supports Eth tokens. It is a user friendly Android wallet that supports a lot of coins with exchange and Dapp functionality too. As of now I only use those wallets because most of the ICO's I participated are based on Ethereum blockchain so those wallets are perfect for the tokens I've got.

It depends on the ICO and what platform they are using.  If it's an ERC20 token than you can store them in myetherwallet.  If it's a Waves platform token than you must have a Waves wallet.  Their isn't one wallet that will store all ICO tokens.
I think the most popular platform today is etherum platform. when they ask eth address to distribute their token to you. you can use myetherwallet. they can receive tokens from any ICO so it will be more simple. you can also use waveswallet.io when they ask for waves address and use waves platform

If a project has a wallet, It's better keep the coin in the wallet and duplicate the wallet.dat file and put it somewhere safe.

Not to repeat what everyone above said... You have already concluded that MyEtherWallet is one of the best and most popular wallets.

Here are a few alternatives:
Mist - One of the primary Ethereum wallets used by desktop users. Mist is certainly capable of supporting ERC20 tokens, including token contracts.
Parity - This wallet is quite popular among Ethereum enthusiasts. Do keep in mind Parity will only watch tokens found in the Token Registry, though.
MetaMask - Browser plugin for Chrome and Firefox supports Ethereum-based tokens as well.
imToken - A mobile wallet compatible with Ethereum-based ICO tokens and is available for both Android and iOS
