I think not all tutors have the expertise to make a video about an introduction to bitcoin I think the video has a good effect for the novice user, but you need to make the effort. but you can make optional by creating a thread or posting on your blog yourself, about your tutorial

You can show them several articles explaining what bitcoin is, after you showed them what it is set up a wallet for them. You can send them a small amount for them to play around with. This will usually show them what it is. If they still don't know what it is show them some YouTube videos and more articles.

Knowing the basics is good enough. I don't think a person needs to be schooled in everything and has to understand everything in order to use it.
I ride a car, but have like a 5% idea of whats going on under the hood. Can change my own oil and basic stuff and thats good enough for me. Same with bitcoin, I don't know everything but not knowing everything is okay. If a person has to know everything about everything he uses, then you will be buried in books until you die.

explain that bitcoin is a payment as well as PayPal and credit cards. give-step explanations. make sure they do not bother when you are in and of itself.
It is better if you are going to say that bitcoin is better than paypal. And it is a good alternative for paypal. Just explain brief and concise.

The average person doesn't care about decentralization, they just want fast and cheap payments. Unfortunately the average person is too stupid to see the importance of Bitcoin, so I say forget about telling them about Bitcoin until Lightning is operative. Then when they see the speed and cheap payments they will all come.
You are right they doesn't really care about it. Not just the cheap payments and fast transaction are the things that you are going to tell them.
But also that it is a real money.
And they can earn it buy doing some online task.
Generally, you'd only explain the surface of what bitcoin is, the purpose, why it exists, and how we use it. Then further explanations would depend on the reaction of who you are telling bitcoin to.
Documentary will surely help users to learn and know much about BTC as like getting explanation from users. Few movies had shown the BTC transaction. If users look at those movies and go through documentaries relating to BTC will know something about it without along with others help. .
thoguh if the person is not into bitcoins then i doubt that he would like to watch such documentaries as it would be really boring for them in my opinion, thoguh thats just my ideasi think i would tell them that its really good to invest into bitcoins because it would allow them to make a lot of profit without any efforts in my opinion, though thats just my guesses

don't even get into technical stuff about bitcoin, especially if you can't explain them plain and simple. i see people talking about bitcoin and actually complicating it more than it really is by talking about mining and saying all kinds of weird stuff.
i mean when you want to tell someone about credit cards you don't tell them about the internal parts of the card and how it works or the atm machine so why say anything about bitcoin's.

As the title say, what is the proper way to teach someone about what is Bitcoin?
First of all. I will explain what is bitcoin. And the second is what is used of bitcoin. And the third is. I teach all my knowledge about Bitcoin. To understand what is bitcoin. 
And then before we proceed to the next teaching. The next teaching is how to get and earn bitcoin from the other website and the faucet. And then if they ask me if how about BITCOIN or anything else i will answer but it is depending on my knowledge to answer that question. 😉
