I think videos should be simple focusing on the basic things of bitcoin if videos are too technical then I think it will complicate them and also confuse them.

I think people will more easier understand if you teach him/her by yourself, not using video or something. Because if they want ask something, you can explain it more.
I tried it the chat its not working so i meet my friend and teach him and now he learn whats is bitcoin and how to collect it..
Best way to teach anyone about anything is showing it's practical application. If you will show them how to earn and spend bitcoin, it will be easier for them to understand and they will be more interested in it.

Send them video tutorial. 
Do that to me and I might ignore it. There are people who send videos that have some virus in it. Better to be there with him or her physically then teach him personally on how it is. Show the video yourself and explain some.
Right, people are now wiser. We do not just click links on emails. Most of those links have malwares attached that could compromise your unit. It is better if you could talk to the person or teach him personally. So that all questions could be answered immediately. I think this is a better approach.

Yes, i remember that i also learn about bitcoin in YouTube, most of the videos are here, they really help us in teaching, otherwise in bitcointalk, we can get every information about bitcoins.
How about start the discussion that gambling and viewing naked ladies are one of the uses of bitcoin, that can get some attention.

I don't think simply giving bitcoin to someone to spend will attract him to use bitcoin, as first he should know how to earn it and if he finds it attractive then he will surely start using it.

Its hard for newbie to indulge so early in bitcointalk same as i in my newbie days i cant locate what i find i kinda lost when browsing in this furom at first but to teach someone to learn bitcoin is try to introduce him some fb crypto related group where he can read the thoughs and the link shared by people in that group and also youtube might be helpfull

Make him read about it,show him the blockchain,how you send bitcoins,the concept behind it,what makes it different,make a wallet for him,show him how to buy bitcoins and give him some articles about it.

yeah of course we can tell more people about bitcoin. You do not need to tired to tell everyone about bitcoin. You simply create a clear tutorial. then let those who learn with videoOnly showing the video will not help, they should be taught practically and with basic things, if things are kept simple that would be much easy for them to understand.

I think need to show how to and also explain to student how it's working on practice. Practice and mistakes is the best teachers, any theory require practice.

As the title say, what is the proper way to teach someone about what is Bitcoin?
i think that you should tell what bitcoin is, how it is mined, so person would understand how it works, then you should create wallet or him and gift/send some money to him
and i think then you should tell him how safe it is to use bitcoins, and how fast and easy is to send money to someone, i think that he should like it as all my friends likes bitcoins
