Escrow service means that you would entrust a "midman" between your transactions to another person. Basically, an escrow is a trusted and reliable person that you can entrust your money or valuables in times of a transaction, to secure the items or money and for the transaction to be safely executed.

OgNasty, no one better.  Period.

Atleast for you! You can't say he is the best one though he is highly trusted. Anybody in the BIG 5 is trusted as OgNasty.

P.S. No offence.

That is just Marcotheminer's personal escrow list, not set by any standard or statistical formula.

If you've been actually using services here in Bitcointalk involving escrow, you'd see no one matches OgNasty's volume.

Seller sends the 10 Bitcoins to Escrow
Escrow confirms the receipt and asks Buyer to send Fiat to Seller
Buyer sends money to Seller
Seller confirms the receipt to Escrow
Escrow sends Bitcoins to Buyer
What if seller does not confirm the receipt after he or she receives fiat?
Then he has scammed you, what else?

I guess his question is, what will the escrow do and what should the buyer do in that case (seller claims to have never received the money).

There will be two scenarios:
1) The escrow sends the 10BTC to buyer if he can prove that he sent the fiat.
2) The escrow sends the 10BTC back to the seller if buyer isn't replying(in most scams, it will happen) or he couldn't prove it.

Anyone can explain how to use escrow service?

Escrow is a middle man, liason, go between, or transaction agent.

Hold funds for both buyer and seller to ensure trustful transaction, granted the escrow is trusted himself.

If you plan to escrow in Bitcoin related goods or services here in Bitcointalk, here's the best one:

Escrow is basically a middleman, which makes sure that both parties make good on the deal.

Here's a simple explanation.

Seller wants to sell 10 Bitcoins for Fiat, he finds a Buyer, but they don't know/trust each other, so they ask a trusted member for Escrow (You can use the list above by foxkyu for finding one) . Then..

Seller sends the 10 Bitcoins to Escrow
Escrow confirms the receipt and asks Buyer to send Fiat to Seller
Buyer sends money to Seller
Seller confirms the receipt to Escrow
Escrow sends Bitcoins to Buyer
What if seller does not confirm the receipt after he or she receives fiat?
Then he has scammed you, what else?

I guess his question is, what will the escrow do and what should the buyer do in that case (seller claims to have never received the money).

Let's sell you are selling a Steam account for someone and the buyer don't trust you to go first so you contact that escrow , send him the steam account informations , the escrow tlel the buyer that he received the item , then buyer send to you the money . once he confirm that he received , the Escrow release the steam account to the buyer . It's pretty simple you will get used to it once you start doing it with several transaction and all should go smooth .

It's simple escrow is an middle man that allows safer payment by securely holding a buyer's coins in escrow until the terms of the sale are met and as a result the buyer releases payment to the seller.
