Those are the funds that have entered/left my main escrow wallet and can be verified on the blockchain. I escrow alternative cryptocurrencies and use multiple wallet addresses for escrows as well, so in reality the number is probably much higher than 19,000 BTC.

Today I have finally tracked down and sent payment to the last user that I was escrowing mtgox funds for. For the first time in more than a decade I can now say that I am not holding any escrowed funds for any users. It feels great to finally have the mtgox saga behind me.

There are probably cheaper options for escrow services out there, so if you have a smaller trade I would advise you to look elsewhere. However, if you have an important trade to make involving a lot of funds and you want to make sure it is done correctly, there is no escrow out there that has handled more BTC than myself in escrow deals for users of this forum.

Please make sure to be safe, even when using escrow. There is a very common scam going around where users contact escrow agents and set up a deal, then contact the user to be scammed via Telegram with an account impersonating the escrow agent. Once the funds are sent to escrow by the user being scammed, the scammer requests a refund and the user's funds are stolen. There is a simple way to not get caught up in this scam. Communicate directly with the escrow agent on this forum. I can't say this enough. If you use Telegram to make deals with BTC, you will be scammed. Let me repeat it larger for the people in the back...

I get a lot of escrow requests for small trades. There are probably cheaper and more available escrow agents that are willing to help with these, but I just don’t have interest. I would advise users doing below $1,000 deals to find a trusted escrow agent with more availability. I will most likely begin ignoring small escrow requests, as responding usually takes more back and worth than I am willing to engage in. Stay safe!

Seeing a lot of altcoin escrows these days. USDT seems to be a somewhat popular trading vehicle recently. A reminder that I'm usually open to escrow any type of cryptocurrency, not just Bitcoin. With the high volatility, fees and slow confirmation times Bitcoin has been experiencing lately, using an altcoin like USDT for escrows makes a lot of sense and has seemed to emerge as a popular way to trade. If you're going to panic dump your Bitcoin for goods, make sure you use escrow so that you don't end up losing everything! Scammers are out and about trying all the old tricks right now. Be careful, be safe, be honest.

The Bitcoin mempool is regularly filling up and requiring some pretty extreme fees along with a few other chains. I've been handling escrows in all sorts of alternative cryptocurrencies as a result. Even some stablecoins! Be safe!

I’ve lowered the price of me confirming delivery and reshipping items to 0.005 BTC.

I’ve also been getting a few escrow requests for ETH now that BTC tx fees have gotten so high. I’ve been offering users 0.05 ETH escrow fees as a result.
