I want to buy online business that generates a good revenue and receives payment to its wallet in BTC and ETH.
How do I verify if these payments happened indeed and not are photoshopped.
On the screenshot I can see amount that has been paid and number of wallet that payment has been sent from.

Thank you!

Your best option is to ask them for their wallet address(es) directly or a list of transaction IDs which you are interested in. With this information you can crosscheck blockchain.info or any block explorer to validate their existence.

For example, if we were given the transaction ID of:
Code:
e053ea998fe3baef7cc8b33c0c0341510c5e3dd4caeb9e38209d8cf29e0e2334

We can input this into blockchain.info to reveal that $499.99 has been sent to
Code:
14CYV7yZUL4GQgB32RGQ5uP27c14JjE7cX

One important thing to remember is that transactions in Bitcoin are essentially pseudonymous. This makes it difficult to identify who "exactly" sent the amount in the first place. I would recommend also investigating the transaction outputs to ensure the Bitcoin(s) were spent and make sure they have not been transferred back into the main wallet. (They could theoretically fake it by sending Bitcoin to their own wallet and then back to themselves, making it appear like a transaction)

Learning more about the complete transaction header on for example blockchain.info is a great way to understand the blockchain.
Merkle trees, hasing, block sizes, ... This is a technology that's worth learning more about, even if your background isn't in development or software.

If you're not looking to learn more about it, there are many websites out there providing a nice simple overview of the transactions and it's verification status. Blockchain.info has been renewed recently, give it a look.

Anyone?
You can use a block explorer such as https://blockchair.com/ to see if those transactions actually happend.

But even then, you should be cautious.
He could've simply taken/snapped those transactions from a node (depending on his business model). ( A lot of HYIP sites do this. (I do hope that's not what you're trying to buy here!))

If you really want to make sure that the "company" made those transactions, ask them to sign a message from the adress that the output was made from.

(And then ofcourse verify it.) Although, if you gotta ask this, i'm pretty sure something is fishy.

What exactly are you trying to buy? An exchange? A gambling site? If so, you could check their traffic sources using https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo or SimilarWeb as well.

Thank you! That is a great advice.
I already verified their traffic using semrush, but with proof of income it is tricky, as some payment streams are received thru bank account and others thru crypto.
I thing a good idea is to see how they cash their crypto assets to their business accounts. Site is listed on Bizben and I am doing my due diligence)
