This question is for those that are here when bear market of 2018 stormed the crypto space, how doesn't it feel like? All those staking for perceive income makes sense at all? Or returns went so bad and makes staking looks like a bad idea? How does it felt like.
In 2018 is a bear market that is quite difficult for me, during the decade the period many trade that I did just sold, because the bear market came very quickly and came out so long in the market, even I personally almost left Crypto at that time, was The hardest year for me at that time, for now I chose a potential dikoin bet such as Ethereum, BNB and other potential coins

it feels so terrible, sometimes I even think crypto is over. I'm scared every time I look at the crypto market, I see that my portfolio is lose. If at that time I gave up and sold everything, I wouldn't be here today. maybe that choice will be the biggest regret of my whole life later. but if today the bear market starts, I won't be as pessimistic as I used to be. I will use this as another opportunity to build my portfolio. waiting for the next 2-3 years is no longer a problem for me, because I have experienced it in the past. the second time didn't scare me.
I don’t know what coins and tokens were in your wallet, because you regret that you sold them then during the bear market of 2018-2019. On the contrary, I regret that when prices went down in the first half of 2018, I did not sell most of my tokens that I earned for participating in bounty campaigns in 2017. As a result, most of them disappeared from the market or fell in price and did not rise again. Coins with a high level of capitalization can be held for a long time, but there are big problems with tokens in this regard.

2018 is considered the worst year in crypto history, I still get scared every time I think about it. I had to sell most of my assets at the time because I thought the market was over and the bitcoin bubble had burst. And now we're in a bear market again, I don't know if history repeats itself but the past taught me a big lesson so if 2018 repeats I wont sell any assets and determined to hold them to the end.
History has shown me crypto and bitcoin will bounce back in the long time as long as you hold the potential coins you don't need to fear.

For me, the most important thing is if you are willing to HODL out through it all regardless of what your wallet $ balance is reading because you believe that the market will return and you must have accumulated more from your staking overtime plus your initial balance which will make a good profit. The 2017-'18 bear market was different for me cos I was just knowing crypto but this time, I know better and will go all the way HODLing.
The long HoDL is great but you need to understand that the coins you are holding will survive the bear market. I have seen projects that drops their project half way once the bear movement is in full flow because they know that it is impossible to make a recovery. So make sure you follow the project carefully if you are planning for the long term.

The rest of the major coins, there is nothing to worry as you will be able to hold them for the long term and with POS being the trend even though i am not a huge fan of it, you can stake the coins during the bear market and then reap the benefits later.

wasn't a pleasant experience. some friends sharing their experiences with me, i felt i should not invest in crypto. experiencing some bearish market myself, raises some level of doubt. but for the fact that the bitcoin market survive it, gave some level of hope. hope of investing in the future. i believe this is the falling and rising of any investment. it has its deep moment that will define if it will withstand the test of time. seeing the value of some coin drop to nothing is scaring. but their rising is hopeful.

As a newbie at that time, I felt that it would be the end for cryptocurrency.
Started in 2017, I saw what happened to 2018 as a newbie. Now I'm calling that year "A year of Hell". Right now, it is the worst year that I've seen in crypto.

Coins going down, investors lacking confidence in investing at that time. People are panicking and a negative news that is being spread in the internet will make Bitcoin even go lower and altcoins will follow it. Market can be manipulated easily at that time. If you are there and you are a newbie, you will feel the feeling that this might be the time that cryptocurrency will end. On the other hand though, I know that those experts and has been in crypto for a long time see that 2018 crash as an opportunity for them to accumulate more. Now they are the ones who are happy because they are the ones who got the most profit.

I don't know if there are but if you bought Bitcoin in the peak of 2017 at $20,000, tried to held it until now then you doubled your money in 5 years. In crypto, this is very long considering how volatile crypto is but still doubling your money is better than losing some of your capital after 5 years.

Maybe I can describe the bear market experience as a third world war like every other finance sectors ganged up to beat cryptos. Cryptos took a severe beating that most us newbies then thought that would be the end of cryptos. If anyone told me then that bitcoin falling from around $19,000 to below $3,200 was going to survive till date I would doubt it. But that is what bitcoin knows how to always do. It survives every beating. It was a horrible experience watching all my altcoins go to zero value. If that situation comes upon us now I will not panic to sell anything because I know bitcoin will survive it again.
In that case, I don't think bitcoin will be hit at a low price, crypto in general is experiencing a major correction, but bitcoin can't be reached to a low hit, this indicates that bitcoin's journey in the market has surpassed any major trouble points, even if seen at the beginning of the emergence of bitcoin, they are really considered trash, but the subsequent development of bitcoin really proved itself to be a role model coin for others, and now the reaction that occurs to bitcoin, will be automatically followed by other coins on the market, both positive and negative reactions

Staking tokens with a high APR. Depending on if the project is legit or not a scam you either keep the tokens or ditch them right away.
A couple of good ones that I'd keep are LOOKS, SOLACE, and BEETS.

Seriously the near market was not really funny because people really lost money, but also it gave some people opportunity. Like me now during the bear market I was able to accumulate lot's of coins because I was having extral funds with me then, which I used to buy bitcoin and some other altcoins which uptill now am still holding some of the coin I bought with it so to me the bear market was at my advantage because it gave me opportunity to buy coins at a very cheap price.

The bearish market in 2018-2019 is because there was a bullish market before that.
I remember at the end of 2017, bitcoin price was skyrocketing and that was the sign of the beginning of bullish market.
In 2021 happened as well, and now in 2022 we may expect the bearish market.
Staking when the market bearish is not profiting because the price of the coin will going down, better to hold it in stable coin like USDT or BUSD.

For altcoins, it would be a hell of a time and I am not surprised that people would feel the same back in those days. Although I am more of a rational person than emotional, it still hurts to think that my portfolio is not doing great lately.
Good thing I remember I was investing in Bitcoin and not another shitcoin in the market.
God, those losses that day...

That was one of my worst experience but I’ve learned a lot from it and what I did in the last dumped I was able to buy at the bottom because I already have the knowledge on what to do if the market crashes again. If you see dumped price, that can be a good opportunity to buy so don’t panic and stay focus on your goal because the market will always rise especially with Bitcoin and good altcoins.
Without a doubt anyone that was part of the market back then will never forget the feeling of desperation as you watched your investment going down day by day and then once it seemed the bear market was over then the price began to go down once again, this demoralized a lot of people to the point I am sure the majority of the people that invested near the ATH never came back as their losses were so massive that they could simply not resist such a brutal bear market for long.
At that time in 2018 was when I learned the most about the markets, because I dedicated myself to reading a lot about market speculators and how they did to face bearish movements and trends, at that time for many investors they believed that the BTC was going to rise for December, in fact many bought BTC to sell in December and at that time the market did not rise, the market remained in a cool zone and what it did was go down a little more, however the lesson of this is that the movements of BTC they usually occur in around 4-5 years to see a fluctuation either in a bullish or bearish sense, this is what I have understood so far, it should be noted that I have not yet been able to predict at this time what may be happening in the BTC market.

That was the worst situation in my life ever. I believe, anyone who experienced that situation, wouldn’t able to forget it in whole life. I was newbie and failed to decided what step should i take. Situation made me helpless as i was seeing my assets are losing price gradually. Those people are lucky who able to converted their fund into usdt and enjoying the dip later after bitcoin reached of its All time low.
It was without a doubt an unforgettable experience, and while it was terrible at the time it has also helped us in our development, and what better example than the decrease in the price we have seen since bitcoin reached its ATH of 69k? While those that are new to the market are worried about the decrease in the price, for those that went through the 2018 crash this is nothing, and if anything we are optimistic about a speedy recovery as the market is in a relatively good shape now compared to the state it happened to have back then.

2018 bear market was awful for me, prior to that I have invested in many ICOs and most of them just use the opportunity to fold up. I learnt a lot from that experience and I am currently being cautious so I don't get a repeat.

at that time i thought it was all over.
i was desperate, but i persisted. if at that time i gave up then i would be sorry for not celebrating the party in 2022.

i was an ethereum holder at that time, you also know the price of ethereum at that time. and see now, i am satisfied with the result of my patience.
more precisely the party is celebrated in 2021 because in 2021 ethereum is able to reach ATH, even if you can take advantage of the moment of price increases that occur twice a year in 2021 of course the party you feel will be more lively. but whatever happens there is no need to regret it because the most important thing is that we must continue to invest in order to get the maximum profit in the next phase of the bull market.

The reality is that many people don't have patience when investing in crypto, even though patience is the key to successful investing in crypto.
It's true when the bear market that occurred in 2018 more people gave up at that time, than people who are patient holding until the price
goes up again. I was one of those who gave up at that time, because when the bear market occurred in 2018, the market actually fell very low,
I thought everything would end. Turns out I was wrong at the time and I learned from the mistakes I made in 2018.

Entering 2022, the bear market is back, although not as bad as it was in 2018, but still there are people who panic and sell their coins at low prices.
Even though we can learn from the events in 2018, no matter how low the price of crypto goes down, it will always go up again. But this only applies
to potential coins, therefore now I am also more patient with bear markets. And holding some coins that I consider potential, because I don't want
to regret it a second time.
It's not only patience we need but knowledge about which crypto we want to invest and ready to lose if we wrong.
I think that's the most important aspect about investing in cryptocurrency

Patience is indeed one of the important things to have when we are in crypto,
I think at that time maybe many people started to give up and resigned to the conditions of the crypto market,
only people who have patience will get happiness
that's right, i also lost my temper several times and as a result i lost some of my coins to save.
if only i was a little more patient, then the results i got would be greater than at the moment.

however i am still grateful, although there is a little sense of regret but i can still celebrate it.
