★SportyCo★ decentralized sports invest
Regular coins will mostly stays unaffected.

But I'm expecting a price boom of gambling projects like SportyCo and Skrilla. So I invested heavily in them in past few weeks.

SportyCo is actually not gambling. It is about investing into and donating to new and up-coming athletes. Read more about it here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-ico-spf-sportyco-decentralized-sports-investment-funding-ecosystem-2211728.
Anyway price increase because of FIFA world cup is absurd... It's not like real demand for tokens will increase. The only one buying will be speculators and then they will cry because the price will drop at some point. I wouldn't mind if the price would get higher but I am afraid people who are pure speculators will cry and FUD then. SportyCo needs time for development of platform and setting up campaigns. And that will be real demand. But of course, everything can't be done in a month.

Anyway good to see some talks on Bitcointalk about SportyCo- SPF token which I see really has potential. BTW, they are preparing World Sports Blockchain Summit tomorrow on 10th of May, join us! https://wsbsummit.com/.

BTChttp:// i was hoping to have everyones thoughts on perhaps how the world cup could effect the price of bitcoin and altcoins, whats your views, opinions and thoughts in particular on coins such as :

BTC
XRP
CREDITS
NEO
ETHOS
ZILLIQ
ICON
Oyster Pearl
CarVerticle
ENJIN
EOS

Huh
I don't see any relevance between the coins you listed and FIFA. I guess maybe the token used to gamble or bet winner will grow, but probability is small. Investor or investment amount are the key of altcoin market.

There is a company called Aventus using blockchain for smart ticketing at the world cup

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/may/06/two-friends-invent-smart-ticket-tech-outwit-touts

It is draw some media attention and awareness.

As far as I can remember they have reached their multi-million hard cap in one day. It is a great example that successful ICO sometimes means nothing, their price goes down each month, all topics on the forum are closed. Just bot trading, sold their tokens a long time ago.

if in my opinion, alt coin that will be worth the price when the word cup is EVC .. Evenchain ...

why EVC ?, because the EVC tokens are fitting and appropriate for moments like WORD CUP

It only will affect bitcoin if there will something related to cryptocurrencies in the world cup, I believe there will be something related to cryptocurrencies, probably about bitcoin not altcoins.

In my own opinion really no big amount of change will happen to crypto even if the world cup lasts for one or two months. It is sports and I think there are only a few sports related cryptos out there and also bitcoin is not even part of any sport related company or ico. Better luck for those caring about sports and crypto at the same time.

I have read this two articles and maybe this will make the bitcoin price will pump and become higher.

https://www.ccn.com/russia-allows-cryptocurrency-payments-for-hotels-during-fifa-world-cup-2018/

From that article, many world cup visitors will be need hotels to live in Russia during the world cup and hotels can be paid with bitcoin.

https://news.bitcoin.com/yes-you-can-buy-your-world-cup-ticket-with-bitcoin/

From that article we could buy the world cup ticket with bitcoin.

My opinion according two articles above is more facilities can be paid with bitcoin and it will make many people will buy bitcoin. If many people buy bitcoin it will make the prices of bitcoin will higher because so many people want to buy.

Very good news, but will it affect the price of cryptocurrency?
will the price go up or even go down?

I do not think the world cup will affect cryptocurrency as they are different things entirely and there is no correlation between them. But I think some sport related block chain will experience a pump but this will only be for a short period of time.

it will effect certain currencies more than others. The biggest gainer will be WAGERR which will allow you to do P2P decentralised anonymous betting on their platform. This is going to be a game changer for those that want to bet with a focus on privacy: https://www.reddit.com/r/Wagerr/comments/8e8a73/get_ready_to_wagerr_on_the_world_cup/

I'm hoping it gives some nice bump to sports-based blockchain like Scorum or even talent development projects like Sportyco. Holding out hope

Many people are able to take profits to join the worldcup, and many invest in betting so they can bet online. That may be a good time for betting such as Truegame, Letbet, Martcoin, ..

Presale is live!
Hmm nice thread.. I personally never thought about this at all. I guess people will start spending shit loads of money on alcohol and junk food in sports tournaments. We may seem increase in ticketing businesses yeah.

Livecasino, 20% cashback, no fuss payouts.
Meh. I don't think any event really has any impact on crypto. Long term happenings and situation like war, yes, economic troubles, yes, like in Venezuela. Or even political like Iran, North Korea, Syria, where bitcoiners are leading the underground charge for financial independence. The world cup is big, bigger than olympics, but hardly going to have any effect on crypto.

Maybe sport related especially football related coins will have a new rally. For example Footballcoin has so much potential but only a few players play that game. They don't have a decent market yet. They will have special games for World Cup. I'm expecting a rise for XFC price.

Yeah, I wasted my time with sports related coins in the past. Too small value, and not global enough.
