I bought my first 1 Bitcoin on localbitcoins back in May this year for GBP 80 (about USD 130).
The price was sort of bad but I was happy to own it, and looking back now who cares about a few percent price difference?

Keeping your bitcoin is good choice. Because it's becoming more and more valuable.

I mined my very first bitcoin and profited $2 from it, and was unbelievably excited.

Proceeded to buy 25 of them for $50 and gamble them all away.

I checked my VIRWOX history and at one point had about 78 BTC in my account.

Disappointing.

Few years ago, mining is a good choice.

Now, everything has changed. Mining is too slow to get one btc.

I bought my first bitcoins on BitInstant back when it was still operating. I earned my first bitcoin by selling a bunch of stuff on Bitmit.

I mined my first 150 bitcoins. But good luck doing that anymore.

Did you keep them or did you spend them?
150 bitcoin,  so many coins.

It is easy few years back. Someone even mined like 10000 Bitcoin but most sell at 1$ Smiley

The cheapest way to get first BTC may be offering something on BitMit. I sold few things already so it is possible

If you're happy with a few satoshis, you can frequent faucets. The gambling sub-forum has a bunch of giveaways for like a bitcent. You could always post offering a service for bitcoin, or sell something you own. Or trade.  Smiley
