Buy, sell and store real cryptocurrencies
BTC Allcoation would be : $50

ALT Allocation would be : $50

My reasons :

My investment strategy is to spilt 50% between Bitcoin and Altcoin. I do think Altcoin have room to grow, but I have high hope for BTC too.

Altcoins are surely impacted by the bitcoin market and if you want to invest in both then you first have to see the future potential of the coins bitcoin has been accepted at mass adoption so it will increase in price but when you come to altcoins investing is good but which to invest in is important

I have full confidence in bitcoin. No altcoin can overcome bitcoin, it will be my better and better future, I assure it and I do not want to share everything, I prefer to invest everything in bitcoin

I think if I will divide my wealth between the alternative coins and bitcoins; I will make it 30-50-20. 30% for altcoins,
50% for bitcoin because they are the worthy one to invest and 20% for my personal matters.

BTC allocation of 20%,  ALT allocation of 80%, I bought Bitcoin because I think this coin should be owned by everyone. While Altcoin very dynamic. We can even fulfill our portfolio with ten or more Altcoins at once, and that's pretty interesting. But of course requires a larger capital.

Matrix Built On An Ethereum Smart Contract
BTC Allcoation would be : 0%

ALT Allocation would be : 100%

My reasons :

Alt Coins such as Ethereum have a utility beyond just a simple store of value based on scarcity. Bitcoin does not.

BTC Allcoation would be : 10%

ALT Allocation would be : 90%

My reasons :

I dont feel any so much hype in bitcoin as of now. It is a waste of time when i invest and hold more bitcoin. Instead i divert my bitcoin fund to a altcoin that has a hype and got good profit in no time. And that is the time i return it to bitcoin and invest the remaining back to altcoin.

I did not have too much capital, so I decided to postpone buying Bitcoin. Not that it is not interested in Bitcoin, but I think in percentage, some Altcoin with smaller marketcap have bigger potential.

I prefer not to make allocations, because sometimes the dynamics of the market make us have to replace the portfolio with a new strategy.
It does not always go well, but a limit will not make the market go according to our will.

This kind of allocation may be applied when we first enter the field. Over time, we may need to adjust the portfolio to a new trend.
Some people keep the same coins for a long time, but most add or subtract the number of coins, at least replace altcoin with other altcoins.

BTC Allcoation would be : 30%

ALT Allocation would be : 30%

My reasons :

Here I still have the remaining 40% where the allocation is to buy back if altcoin or Bitcoin and or both prices go down.

Good move imho. Probably, the OP should have added, fiat allocation in a way. Actually, I am just viewing other people's opinion as this may be hard for me being a trader. The thing is I trade the market, I believe in the long term growth of bitcoin, and its usage, but we are still far from that now, which makes me hold not so much as long term investment as what I can afford to lose (though may be much for some).

Nevertheless, I believe in trading fluctuations than holding long term since I am still going to be benefiting from the trend change anyway once I hop back into the market and in that case, timing the market works for me, and 50: 50 works fine.

BTC Allcoation would be : 30%

ALT Allocation would be : 70%

My reasons :

the potential of the bitcoin annually experience a large increase so reasonable if investing into bitcoin even long-term with the hopes of getting a big profit. altcoin has many types and many of those who have a good improvement. even altcoin like EOS and NEO deserves attention regarding its development. so it's reasonable if the allocation for more altcoin because it still has great potential to grow.

BTC Allcoation would be : 20%

ALT Allocation would be : 80%

My reasons :

I want to find a unique altcoin that will grow many times after ICO. Something like Ether. This is not easy to do, but I try. Maybe later I will reconsider my portfolio. But for today it looks like this.
Sorry OP, I may not have to use the code actually, since I read through thread and I tend to discuss more as I follow through. The thing is that a lot of people may actually consider putting more into altcoins, but the fact is that, if we really want to look at the long term and the fact that investing in altcoin is still a highly risky investment as it is, then you would not need to put so much into altcoins. Unless we want to deceive ourselves, the sentiment in the market favors bitcoin more than altcoin and until then, I stick with my 90 : 10 for (bitcoin: altcoin) respectively.

Not everyone thinks in same way. So it depends on the posiition of the market. There are many currencies in the world, so it depends on our own government condition how we divide our wealth according to our country.

Most of the time I invest most of my money in BTC.
Only a small amount of money was invested in altcoin because it was risky.
Altcoin is a risky but some still do have a lot of potential. I invest into altcoins from ICOs anyway, except for just few that I may have missed which still have a lot to give. I invest mostly 60 to 40, bitcoin to altcoin ratio, since there is much altcoin to play around with anyway. That at least gives my whole investment a boost even when the altcoins are not doing pretty well.

Moreover, we have to face the fact that altcoins are really not that easy to tamper with based on their volatile nature when things really want to get awry and it usually take those with huge support for some not to fall back down hugely. So, in some cases, I actually do go into bitcoin 100%.

BTC Allcoation would be : 0

ALT Allocation would be : 100%

My reasons :

I am more interested in Altcoin because altcoin has a great chance to gain more than 50% profit even 200%. While BTC is a definite investment, but I am less interested if only have $ 100 is still too small for BTC investment.

In my opinion, giving an answer that works all the time, it's not the best thing to do.

For example, at the moment, I'm like this:

BTC Allcoation would be : $ 30

ALT Allocation would be : $ 70

My reasons:

I'm expecting the market will start to be bullish again before the end of the year, so I've invested in some projects which in my opinion have a lot of potentials. But then I will get the profits and convert them back to bitcoin (70%%) and altcoin (only 30%).
