I am using my laptop for making money and watching movies. I also use it for playing Games and using internet. I think most of the users are using their laptops for such kind of purpose.
i use my laptop to play games, watch movies , listen to songs etc...
For general purpose, but mainly for Games and Movies.
I used to use mine for mining back in november/december 2013. I mined altcoins with it and got some profit, with my profits I bought a mining rig, with those profits I decided not to buy shit anymore cause too many are mining nowadays.

. Been surfing the web on a 17" laptop the last 5 years. Rarely go to my big desktop anymore.
Think you should switch back to a desktop... it's definitely better than laptops. Comfortable too if you have a good rig.
I can't game on my laptop as it is only a cheap little thing but it does everything else I need to do on the go.
Taking it to the university, games, web, chatting on Skype, watch videos and programming.
Just for browsing and watching movies.
Use laptop for gaming...
internet surfing, video watching and that is all, no gaming. I do gaming on PC sometimes.
I use mostly to post and make online courses.

My laptop has become pretty stationary. It's 17'' screen to begin with, so it's on the heavy side. Now, the battery is shot, i have it plugged to another monitor as well as speakers. So it doesn't move much, but i still prefer it to a desktop, because I can take it somewhere when I travel. Hoping to get a new one some day, since this is 4-5 yrs old now

My laptop is about 15 years old so I don't do too much on it.
But when I do it's pretty much shuffling files around when I'm out in the field.
