Yesterday someone announced his bitcoin-webcam-site, which looks great on first sight. Too great actually. Turns out there are many different sites which all use the same camfeeds or something. So that one was just another middleman.

We're coming, getting there, getting closer, eh? ;-)

Bitcoin seems like the perfect match for porn and gambling so kinda inevitable. It's just a matter of when. You have to remember that most people learned about Bitcoin in april, that is barely 6 months ago. These things take time.

I'd be surprised if 2 years from now, most porn and gambling websites still don't accept Bitcoin.

The good thing is we can still buy bitcoins at cheap prices. For early adopters, the ideal scenario is one in which Bitcoin appreciates steadily so you can easily buy Bitcoin every month rather than huge bubble/bust every now and then. So let's not be too eager to see mass adoptions. That's time to make more fiat to buy more bitcoins.

I have a subscription to brazzers because I don't like the stuff loaded with viruses. I e-mailed them a long time ago about how they should accept bitcoin. Never heard back from them, but it wouldn't hurt for a bunch of people to also recommend it.

Though I think more the problem in that industry is finding what people will actually pay for than the method of collection, not to say taking digital currency wouldn't be a lot easier and cheaper regardless.

Generally, yes, but some (that don't know what BitTorrent is anyway) will shell out some cash for high quality productions, or at least high quality video. Thanks to the Internet destroying DVD sales porn studios have to come up with something that will sell as a premium service or product.

I don't think there is anyone that doesn't know what BitTorrent is, if he uses a PC and has internet anyway.

i´d say this would be a killer application for businesses considering bitcoin payments: re-occuring payments. we need a start-up covering this. but, technically - how?

I would imagine a huge amount of revenue is from subscription services that auto-renew. There is no way to auto renew using bitcoin; every transaction is a "push" transaction, not a "pull" one.

So that hurdle would somehow have to be dealt with.

I didn't pay for porn, but paid for software, music, movies. And donated my part to random good causes. You could argue all of these with the same arguments.

I'm a geek and I've paid for porn many of times. Most free porn on tube sites are very low quality. I like high quality hd videos. Also I'll never download any videos or pictures from a free forum I know allot of them contain viruses, porn that you pay for is virus free!
