Because of his username on shoppy.gg I couldn't find a feedback for this guy..
fairly sure I ran into him on this forum, just don't know when
You probably dealt with @MadmanAmazon [or one of the many alt accounts that he/she had (most of them have been nuked)], a somewhat known scammer... You should've searched for his/her "telegram" instead [that's how I was able to connect the dots]!

If you can add a tiny bit more info, it might be helpful to widen the search. A search with current info to pinpoint to one user seems to be near impossible, at least from what I've tried from this bed-ridden sickness I'm currently in. Like his tg account, or what item did he sold on this forum.

$50 for a $500 bestbuy gift card? Does this type market actually exist or were you just greedy and forgot that “if it’s too good to be truth…”?

Don’t get me wrong OP, I’m not trying to throw salt on the wound. Am actually curious about your situation.

The price for the stolen cards is arround 30-40% but with bulk deals you can find easy at 10-15%, just saying.

And they prefer to sold them at discounted price rather than redeeming themselves? I am yet to purchase and redeem an amazon giftcard, but I'll take a blind faith that they work like Google play voucher where you input the code at the back of the card and your amazon account will be topped-up? So why would a thief sell them at discount rather than get a full amount of the balance on the card? Like TryNinja, I'm just trying to understand the situation here.

Stealing them is a business, having a system where to reedem them, use them is a different story. But in this situation is cleary a scam, no need for interpretation or understanding the situation, it is just a scam.

been doing this for a bit now and I understand this was my fault for not using escrow, or even buying from shoppy .. but in the past I've dealt with this guy and didn't have any issues

I know I'm not getting my money back but hopefully someone else reads this before doing business with this guy

sorry about shoppy link in the topic name, but not sure if there's a better way to warn
