I hope an amendment that would happen
or a catalyst to accelerate its progress

I doubt it. Until now the new followers came for free. The number is from start high enough that the "risk" of actually paying the prize is small.
And there's another contest on that twitter page, for the newsletter, and the winner will be picked "once we gain a good amount of new subscribers", whatever that number is.

As always in these cases, I hope I'm wrong...

It is so easy to fool others with such campaigns. I make two alts. On the first, I claim that I would pay 0.1BTC to a lucky follower when I reach 5k followers. When I reach the mark, I show a fake transaction tipping my alt and finally, I lose nothing but gain an account with 5k followers. I sell that account for 0.25BTC. People need to think before blindly giving valid information or here, blindly following others in a campaign.

People are always fast to think someone is scaming or dishonest. Thats not me.

I will run this giveaway when i get close to 5,000 real followers on twitter anf it will be random.

What do you have to lose? It is 100% free.

Sorry to put those words earlier. It seems you're an active member who replies to his threads genuinely. I have seen several giveaway scams even with gleam.io and so, had my hopes down for this one too. It seems you are a good promoter and I hope you reach 5k followers soon enough Smiley

This is a real offer and someone will win this prize.

I am sure you will not get 5000 followers, but in 10 years I think, no one knows.

I am willing to bet it will happen in 2017 Wink

I know how to promote things.  Cool

No offense but that user most likely will not give the 0.1 BTC.  And if they do, they most likely will give it to one of their own accounts, since no one will be able to tell.

I can't wait to prove you wrong.

All i have to say about that.
There is really no way you can prove me wrong unless you give the 0.1 BTC to an established escrow and let them do the draw.

Oh you mean someone like you?

Lol, you are right and i might just do that when the time comes.

Don't miss out on this huge 0.10 bitcoin giveaway that is running on twitter right now!

Just go to the tweet below and follow the poster and retweet that tweet to enter the giveaway.

They will give away the 0.10 bitcoin to a lucky follower that retweeted once they get close to 5,000 real followers.

Giveaway Tweet:  https://twitter.com/karlmoneyinpjs/status/805629550692548609

I will post here once they have picked the winner and posted the proof.
This is not the only bitcoin giveaway i have done on my twitter account. It is the biggest to date but not the last. All my followers are in my contests and not just people that retweet or new followers... so its good to keep following me for the future giveaways.

I love bitcoin and the community and I earn bitcoin commissions from many sites each month because I am an affiliate marketer and I do giveaways as a way to say thank you and at the same time help build my tools for marketing.

I never spam people and I do not tweet much but when i do it is about bitcoin info or giveaways.
So how is this impossible?

You do know there are many many thousands of bitcoin twitter users right?

This is a real giveaway and the winner will be picked when i get close to 5,000 followers.

Good luck to everyone.

So this is your giveaway, and not someone else? Why not mention it in the OP instead of using "they" because it seems that you're just sharing someone's giveaway here. Honestly, I wonder if how you'll give a number to everyone. Does it mean you'll list all 5,000 followers for that? I think this will take a long wait, you only have 1k+ followers as of now, but anyway, I'll give it a try when it's closer to 5k and let's see how it goes.

EDIT: One good idea is to just pick a member who participated here in the forum. Let us post here our accounts, comment # will be our ticket, then you'll use random.org in choosing the winner. You can also provide different giveaway for your followers outside the forum. (Just a suggestion)
