This sounds like an absolute lie but assuming that you have 200 BTC and don't know how to sell them, I would suggest that you use a P2P service like HodlHodl, Bisq, AgoraDesk, RoboSats, or other private services.

If you don't mind KYC, then just selling on Coinbase is fine.

Best of luck.

If you think your bitcoin is dirty and you wish to clean it, you can use a mixer.

That is not correct! Mixing services don't magically clean your coins; they merely obfuscate their origins, which could raise even more red flags with certain services. By using the mixer, you exchange your coins with someone else's, which can be equally or even more "tainted." This is precisely why the whole idea of "dirty" coins is pointless.

Just want to how one goes about selling huge about of BTC, I'm talking like 200BTC for a 6/3 discount. Any help or advice will help me out for sure , looking for buyers preferably private buyers that are ready to buy, let me know what you guys think
People who has this amount of bitcoin doesn't easily open threads about it. It could be we are all wasting our time to solve a problem that never exists. In the other hand, it could also be that the Op's story is real. In whatever way, you have one or two of the following to do;

Register on an exchange, complete KYC and sell your bitcoin. But if you are a privacy concentrated kind of guy, you can decide to sell in bits from your local sections here since you have a discount.

If you think your bitcoin is dirty and you wish to clean it, you can use a mixer.

Oh hoh. People ask him why he wants to give a discount and why he is looking for private buyers because there is the possibility of getting scammed. But don't you guys think it's a trap from this newbie member? Why don't don't you think that he could be a scammer too? Don't you think it will be wise for him to sign a message from his Bitcoin wallet which has a signification amount of Bitcoin at this moment? I do not trust any random person who does not have any forum background and wants to sell his Bitcoin at a discount and wants private buyers. This is a red flag and it's a big no from me.

So you mean  you want to sell some 200 BTC in volume with discounted price right? Do you think there are people believe that they can buy cheap BTC anywhere? Usually those people who offer that more cheaper price are scammers. If you really have that 200 BTC in your wallet then better sell it on exchange you have Binance to deal with just like suggested by other users here. And if you are doubting because you don't trust a single platform to drop that volume then you have other reputable exchange to split the balances so that  you will be feel safe when exchanging your coins.

You need to know that no private buyer will trust you for that unless you will come to his place and deal with them personally then you could make the deal happen. But in online? Doubt there are buyers will avail such questionable offer.

I can't stop thinking of this:

Quote
@cz_binance
Executives from a client were lured on a 'business trip' to Montenegro, where they were abducted and forced to empty their wallets. Total loss ~$12.5m.

It seems to me that this story makes no sense at all - because why would someone go to the trouble of organizing such a robbery, and then allow someone to freeze the stolen funds? Either the thieves are dumb idiots who didn't know it was possible, or it's just another "we are a good and honest company" story.

Simple, they didn't now those were Binance people as obviously Binance itself woundn't advertise their OTC deals and just do this thing as CZ is doing, totally behind the counter and the curtains and the accountant. So the thieves didn't know those guys could pick a phone and in 10 minutes have everyone on alert, they would assume as usual there is a police complain, a lag, emails to customers support and byt he time the funds are actually frozen days have passed.

I mean, most of what was stolen was frozen, so the OP is definitely not the hacker Wink

Not in this case but you never know, that's what I always call those offers Dubai style

I've seen even on this forum, huge offers, huge discounts and they are even paying for your trip

Whatever the reason why you ask this. But if you have that much BTC and want to sell it quickly. So my advice is that it is better for you to sell it normally through a centralized exchange. You can register on several centralized exchanges at once and start spreading your bitcoins across several exchanges and selling them on each exchange at the same price. But even if you sell it on a centralized exchange, it's actually quite easy. as long as the stock exchange is busy. Because selling hundreds of BTC on Binance is also commonplace. Because almost every day there are always Whales who send hundreds of BTC to the exchange. and many also withdrew hundreds of btc from the exchange. The point is that selling hundreds of btc doesn't require anything complicated if it's done legally.

If you have that much bitcoins then you would probably have the idea an how to manage them and sell off as well.If they were acquired through a legal way then any exchange would be an option if you are fine with all the KYC measures as whales sell off huge stash without even offering a discount. The story is same like others trying to gain some attention.

although I don't quite believe what you mean. but the question is, why don't you sell it on the stock exchange? it will be less risky than looking for a private buyer. You should read several stories regarding people who were tricked into online transactions to make you alert.
there is an escrow that you can use for transactions. but when you do that, there is a suspicion about the Bitcoin you own. I'm not accusing you, but everyone who wants to trade with you will certainly be wary of you.

You're highly suspicious unless you offer an escrow from someone reputable here and not coming elsewhere that you recommended and a signed message that you really own those Bitcoins and a valid reason why you offer 6/3 discount when there's a way to sell it legally.

I suspect that you are working in an escrow company and you will be recommending their service we cannot fathom why you posses 200 Bitcoin and cannot trade them on an exchange, what's the history behind these huge numbers of Bitcoin?

If you sold 200 BTC a few years ago, that could be normal. But we are now in a different situation where 200 BTC means a huge amount of money. It will clearly attract the attention of many people. Maybe they will find out who has made such large Bitcoin transactions.

Selling 10 BTC secretly is enough to pique the public's curiosity, let alone 200 BTC. If I had that 200 BTC, I would sell starting from small fractions. It's okay if I have to repeat the process many times. I don't mind the cost. The important thing is that I don't attract public attention.

It would be even riskier if he looked for a private buyer because it could end up being a fraud. I often wonder why anyone would want to cash out a lot of Bitcoins at once immediately. Do they need a lot of money just for one time? In fact, by having a lot of Bitcoin, we are obliged to be careful and not sell it in large amounts at once. That will attract a lot of bad guys who want to take control of all his Bitcoins. Good luck @OP.

I don't understand why this question will have to be considered unnecessary, the user called a shithead, and so on. I don't know if others can relate, but there was a time when a number of my friends had trouble converting cryptocurrency to cash. I guess this was even discussed a number of times in my local board. I'm referring to the conversion of crypto to big amounts of cash. Until now, it's a challenge. It's not easy. Hence, the question.

If I am to convert even 1BTC right now, I'd be having a hard time as well. My local banks would surely notice that this isn't a normal transaction and I might be inquired about it. Remittance centers would ask documents. Meet ups would probably be limited to much smaller amounts.

Or do we find it unbelievable for somebody here to have as much? There's somebody here who owns a cruise ship.

Anyway, go local, OP. OTC is an option. Try to connect with local Bitcoin communities as well. There are probably brokers in your place. And you might have to divide it into much smaller quantities.

You are looking for private buyers to trade 200 Bitcoins with you, not that it is any business of mine, but it is suspicious that you can own that amount in Bitcoin and yet have little to no knowledge of Bitcoin and how to trade it.

I totally agree. If someone says they can't figure out how to sell off 200 BTC, they're probably full of shit and lying or running some kind of scam.  Id love it if someone could prove me I'm wrong about this.  But if you tell me you don't know how to cash out 200 BTC, I'm just not buying it.

Of course you are right where the OP, says he doesn't understand how to sell 200 BTC. If he could ask such a strange question about this little thing then surely we would say it could be a scam. Probably not a mistake but if someone is planning to sell 200 btc he must have good knowledge and idea not to ask such a stupid question. If the OP doesn't know how to cash out btc then it's never good to buy because we see some shade of scam here, so it's better to refrain from such purchases.

If you are new to the crypto industry, which you might not be because newbies don't have 200 BTC, but still, if you don't know about the current market situation, then I will prefer that you not make any trades with people in private trade because the chances of getting scammed are high as the amount is not less.
And why do you want to sell now? I am not judging you, but are you an idiot because people are buying and you want to sell now? You must have some real need for money, but I will suggest you not sell now. Because the market is going up, you can make a good profit on your 200 BTC if you buy them in dips.
I will suggest you make a trade on some exchange because your transaction will be completed without any issue, but keep in mind to check the liquidity of the exchange. Try to make a trade on some big exchange, and if you trade on a central exchange, then the chances of providing documentation will exceed, so I will prefer DEXs, but don't sell in one go, sell in parts.

If I am the one that has acquired that much Bitcoin, I've got already plans on how I'm going to sell them eventually.

Regardless of the price, I'd definitely get my money out of it and will do the sell on my own and won't let other people even the internet know that I know this much.

I didn't even have to read your content; I just went straight ahead to the first response you got and I understood everything was wack..
How do you claim to have 200btcs currently in your custody without any prior knowledge on how to sell 'em out?.. wait, where did you put them coin in?? A basket at your home or what? Cus you don't even sound like you've got an idea about crypto-based wallets and centralized exchanges...

The first time in history I'm seeing someone willing to sell bitcoin with a discount, not just an ordinary discount, but as large as 6/3. OP don't even know his maths properly. This is obviously a scam, either the funds were  acquired through illegal means or its an organized activity to scam someone. This is an irrational business dealing. Let me be explicit. Assuming OP is willing to take 70% instead and relinquish 30%. That means he'll give out a whooping 60btc as discount to the buyer. Nice one OP, I hope this is cruise that you're catching, cos I'm not believing this your story.

It sounds like a joke, when everyone look forward to seeing the aftermath of the Bitcoin halving and the great profit expectation. If the bitcoins belong to you, you will be more experience to sell them in a twink of an eye. I think you are asking on how to sell without been notice by anymore. And how can we be sure with one on one trade without an exchange, how this isnt a game.

Why give a discount? Why do you want to sell your bitcoin and you are offering discounts? And why are you looking for private buyers? Don't you know you can end up being scammed? Selling that amount of bitcoin is kind of risky, so you have to be very careful. I don't know if you really have that amount of bitcoin to sell, but you have to be very careful. Don't trust anyone who contacts you privately that they want to buy, they are likely scammers who will want to scam you. What I will recommend you do is get an exchange and sell your bitcoin on a reputable exchange. I think that's just the safest place. But if I may ask, how did you accumulate that amount of bitcoin? Is it through an exchange or a private seller?

If this story of yours is real and you still HODL 200BTC which is almost 7 Million dollars, congratulations. About selling them, it will be hard to cash it out. The risk with private deals (over the Internet) is so big and I think the only option you have is to go slow with it. Take your time. Do not try to rush with such a big amount, there will be so many scammers around to get you indulge in a deal with them.
Do you truly believe the story? I can't really say because if the OP can accumulate that amount of bitcoin, am sure the OP will know the right channel to follow when selling it. The OP won't have to come here seeking for help on how to sell, and I don't think someone new to cryptocurrency will be holding that amount of bitcoin, maybe the Op should show evidence that he is really holding the bitcoin, no one will believe him without any evidence.

Also, if the Op is trying to make use of private buyer's, the OP should be very careful. Scammers are everywhere looking for people to scam. Even if the OP will be selling the bitcoin gradually, the OP have to be careful, and the OP shouldn't trust anyone. Just assume everyone you meet on the internet is a scammer. Treat everyone as a suspect. The Op will be receiving messages from different people right now claiming to be interested in buying the bitcoin, but the OP has to be smart.

Why is every body jumping straight to conclusions.  OP did not even log back in after publishing the topic.  Wait to see what he has to say and then maybe help him.  But I doubt this is legitimate unless he is dumb, who would ask how to sell 7 million Dollars on a Forum?
