Every single time there is a little move, a post like this goes up. My response is always the same: look at a historical chart. Realize this is completely pedestrian in Bitcoin.
I've noticed it usually drops a lot faster than it rises. It now dropped $150 in an hour, while it took 4 days to go up by that amount.I can only conclude panic sales on the way down are much stronger than people trying to jump the train on the way up.

Correction was imminent for quite a while, so in that regard, it's not coming as a surprise for me. I welcome this drop as it made me a good profit in such a short time. I personally hope that this volatility will remain active for the coming days. The more volatility, the better. For China it's important to maintain the 7000CNY barrier in the coming days. As long as that happens, then I am fairly confident that the price will go up again after a short break. The market needs this time out. Nothing goes only up in value without experiencing these level of corrections.

So far, Huobi and BTCChina are still MIA, while OKCoin dumped much harder than expected.

If bitcoin reached 1300 this week then its my turn to sell some of my save btc. Will be using it for my birthday.. and the rest btc will be sleeping for 10 years and above. Need patence if you want big returns in the future.
The old ATH of $1250 is a pretty huge psychological barrier to overcome.
There will be really a drop coming and it's expected everytime bitcoin's price increasing. What shall we do in the time like this is to take closely with the price watch to avoid being late nor regret. And besides, I can't see the drop as a huge one with the current situation of bitcoin today. Even with $100-$200 price decrease is not hurtful since it's still around $1,000 as a correction price.
Also remember that situation back when bitcoin first reached it's ATH is really different for what is bitcoin today.

Ha ha... My jaw dropped and touched the floor long ago. There is a fear at the bottom of my heart, about whether I should book profits before the next correction happens. But I have managed to hold on until now.
Price floor right now is at around $1,000 which means that the biggest drop that could happen in a short period would be around 10% which isn't really that much. The ceiling however is really high, something like $1,400 if i remember correctly.
Also market cap of bitcoin is approaching $20 billion at a steady pace.
