That block size might stake within 30 days. In my opinion you need 8-10k block sizes now as difficulty is around 10 now almost all the time.

I just started staking a block of 3700 hyp, is this big enough to get a stake in a reasonable amount of time? What's the optimal block size right now?

Getting close to finishing all of the testing on the beta wallets, will hopefully have an official release sometime this weekend

In previous versions of the wallet, they won't split if older than 30 days, regardless of your split threshold. I have changed this for the upcoming release to be completely removed. It is misleading to have your threshold set and to have it combine anyways.
So its a feature then. But its nice it is being changed. Thanx all for your prompt answers.
Yes this is something that is from the Peercoin source. Now that we define our own split threshold, it would seem odd to keep it now.

I don't know if this was already reported but sometimes I get some blocks stuck. And when they stake they don't halve.
Is this a known bug?

I think blocks older than 30 days will not split after staking.

I recommend that anyone testing the new beta wallet update to the latest build v1.0.9.1 - some bug fixes and improvements. Still not ready for official release. Remember to backup wallet if you test out beta versions.

don't use dust with the block splitter
fix multisend help display
multisend disable address (allows you to tell multisend not to send tx from particular address when it stakes)
multisend can only have each address entered once into the vector
multisend printaddresses
save multisend enable/disable settings to DB, so it persists through shutdown
multisend will not send twice if you stake splits
(foroplus I will work on your requests soon, shouldnt be too hard)

Yes I could add that for sure. Right now it will display weight per coin block in "cclistcoins" but that won't give the sum of all your weights.
