i just sold all mine and reinvested in stamps Grin

Sold all and waiting for correction.

Learning to hodl takes experience.  Wink

Some of us have had to learn the hard way and have gained wisdom from the pain of waiting for "corrections" that never did come.

But perhaps you will be lucky?
Indeed good luck but Bitcoin is now a long-term investment, just be patient, my advice: if your balls and experience with speculation are sizable go to the Altcoins market $_$ just do not use mintpal, has been hacked  Sad

Still waiting for correction. Will see who has the last laugh.

Careful, corporate adoption will quickly lead to consumer legitimisation of btc. Reading the ignorant comments below any btc article shows there is a lot farther for bitcoin to travel

Yes. And good news such as DELL accepting bitcoin did not raise the price up. Imagine a negative news come out right now, I can see the price correct at least 10%.

i dont see the point buying stuff with bitcoins.
its just stupid to buy a computer that will last couple of years whilst one would be better off hodling bitcoins for that same timeframe.

Indeed, thats what I also thought, and this is as well a reocurring argument against Bitcoin, as in, people will just hoard it and keep using FIAT for exchange of goods, they are treating Bitcoin as gold, when it is supossed to be a currency, so this seems like a problem to me in terms of developing a legitimate currency.

Reason why realcoin is a better medium for exchange.

I have 1,000 realcoins... Yeah the old, dead chain from 2013 Sad

I'm HODLING a little but I'm also diversified.

Unfortunately part of the diversification was with.... Coinex, so I got partly screwed.

Should have just HODLED. .

I'm holding bitcoins but I have diversified too buying some altcoins, which I like to trade.
At the moment I have about 90% in bitcoin (HODL), 10% in alts(TRAED).

I dont see bitcoin as a currency. And its definitely not an argument against bitcoin. Imho, bitcoin is the basis of a new digital environment of financial tools (whether currencies, equities, obligations etc.). People just dont get it (that currency thing is just a stupid argument for the masses because bitcoin indeed need them to react and grow). but people only need easy applications, and these new features are all going to end up tied to bitcoin's value, which i then hope to be MASSIVE.

As the unfamous Mircea Popescu would say: Bitcoin is a privilege. Grin

edit: and i expect a massive squeeze out of traders here in the next couple years because although bitcoin is here to stay, banksters are too..
so HODL my brothers & sisters! Cheesy

This is one of those threads that will be around for years to come.   Someone should compile a "best of bitcointalk" thread and link these ones there...

Or it could be "Best bagholders in the recorded history of mankind".

What is going on with the price currently displays perfectly that saving is sacrificing spending, or letting others in front of you in the spending queue.

Imagine thousands of holders, having had some significant gains. Thinking, it's time to sell a few coins to buy X. They all would like to have 1200 per coin, but it seems they will have to wait for that. So 630 will have to do. So you put up an ask for 630. Just before you get it, someone else dumps some coins and takes the price down to 610. You think - damned, he just got out ahead of me, now I'll have to wait for the bids to creep up again... maybe I'll set my ask to 629...
