Hi there.

I am wanting to make my own exchange.

Can you tell me some requirements I need to have in order to make one?
Do I need any legal documents in order to make my exchange?

Good luck in the states. The SEC is coming down hard on this stuff. Also, with any type of site, security will be your number 1 issue. You don't want to be anything like mt gox or the likes. Right now I think coinbase is doing it right in terms of security. Kraken handles it well but as for advice, go see what everyone else is doing and see if you can make it different.

First check whether it is legal or not to set up a cryptocurrency exchange in your country. We have a recent example of China, wherein government has banned most popular exchanges. I would suggest you to hire a local legal expert for corporate affairs and fulfill the legal requirements before starting the exchange to avoid future consequences.

Need big capital if you really want to seriously make a good exchange, and also need reliable team developers.

Maybe needed legitimate document for your exchange activity.

More important from exchange is security and fastest loading site.

One of the weakest points in all Crypto currencies are the exchanges and their weak security and compromised code for the

software they use. Every time a exchange gets hacked, the Bitcoin price goes down. This has nothing to do with Bitcoin, but

rather exploits in third party software. A lot of people do not know the difference and they blame the technology. Your first

step would be to find developers you can trust and someone that can audit their code. {to prevent them from creating

backdoors in the software they created for you}  Wink

Depend on, where do you live? Some countries have different regulations about this obviously.
How much money you have to make an exchange? Do you know how to develop it?
If you want to start an ICO in order to collect funds, what is the difference with another project with the same idea?
There's a lots of countries with bitcoin exchange and I was agreed with error08 said that in different nation there are different regulations so how can you handle that? because it's hard for you to create a new ICO's to provide the funds that you need in exchange business.

I would be very careful regarding regulation, proper legal advice would definitely be recommended.

Most governments are cracking down on unregulated exchanges and the penalties could be very severe depending on how little steps you have taken to ensure yours is legitimate.

Best of luck.

Apart from getting good developer, marketing team, you also need lawyers to be sure that you don't brake any laws. I am sure that it is actually hard to build and even harder to promote because now there are lots of exchanges. However, I wish you good luck with that!
Its not really bad to start up an exchange as long you do know on what you are doing and completing all the things you do need to build one. Competition cant really be avoided knowing that there are lots of big and reputable exchanges now on which we would really have a hard time on getting traders or users of our exchange but well having this small steps is better rather than on expecting directly on bigger expectations. As long we do give the best service then it should be fine.

Having started many businesses and having tried to start an exchange, I can tell you that it is incredibly difficult. There are too many other ways to make money in crypto. Don't try to start an exchange.

Well we will see.
First when im done my coin, In the future I will think about making an exchange

Well your plan to make an exchange and used the Your plan coin to make it successfully done is pretty cool but the question is do you have a back up fund to run the advertisement or any other forms of attention gathering materials to create mass exposure for this project? Well if you don't have funds to run it out and just rely on your coins then I think we will doubt to trust you up since there are so many scam coin devs who used there what so called project just to scam peoples funds by using some Scam ICO coins.

Of course Ill have the funding for the exchange.
The ICO im making, is not a scam at all.
It will have many great features.
And, it will be X11 Masternode coin.

I do not want to discuss my coin, as some people might steal the idea.

The money from the ICO will go towards the new exchange, and further projects and development.

If you look at it I think that it is not so easy to do such things and I do not think it will be done in that way unless you are the only one.exchange event is a sector that needs to be completely professional and fast, and in this regard, of course, I think that the people who know your business well and that you are your team should consist of people who are really solid and safe.besides, your bank account must be ready for this job. you must unlock the instant cash flow when necessary and you should not suffer people in this regard. we do not even know if they will choose you more. in other words, at the same time, you must be in evidence that you trust and that you have done this really well. time is needed and there are many more factors. If you are serious about this, you really need a good team that knows your business well. I have not even mentioned the necessary legal procedures. Anyway I wish you good luck.

Thank you.

I plan on making my exchange in the coming years.
Now I will research many things about legal stuff and so on.
And then I will create a fast, with full time support staff.

And there will be innovations.

Im making an ICO

My coin will have its own personal exchange.
SO if my coin has a hard fork, or something, I can do it quickly.
Unlike lets say yobit where I would have to wait a few days.

can you reccomend me some opensource altcoin exchange?

You are missing the point.

If you want people to deposit BTC or other cryptocurrencies into your wallet to trade in exchange for your coin, you need to build trust.

Admitting you have no clue on what you are doing is a step in the wrong direction of building trust.  Sad

Yes I understand.
It Will gain trust.

Because my ICO will not launch the exchange immediately. It will be launched months after the ICO.

The ico idea that I am making, is very good. I truly believe my ICO will be successful.
If my ICO is successful, the trust will already be there.
