First of all, I don't think that YouTube is a good source of income. Compared to other possibilities, the payments are relatively small in relation to the number of viewers. And you will only receive payments if you achieve a high number of viewers. That is very unlikely for a video of random strangers saying "I am Satoshi Nakamoto" - unless you are a marketing expert who knows how to promote it. To the general public, "Satoshi Nakamoto" is simply not well known.

Another problem might be to gather enough people from the community to be willing to make a video with their face for this purpose. The Bitcoin community tends to be very sensitive regarding privacy.

But despite my objections, you're free to try of course. After all the risk for you is zero.

I was thinking when I saw that art with the collection of Avatars of a bunch of Bitcointalk users, why not make a video based on the same principle. We could have a central depository somewhere and

people can dump a short video where they say, I am Satoshi Nakamoto in their own language, and after a specific cutoff date, someone can close the site and edit it into one big video. We can

make it fun, and have different settings for every video clip.

We then place this video on YouTube, and all income from this goes towards some charity or to fund some prize for the best video clip or even to fund some effort to reduce scams. {Something positive}

What do you think? Will this work?
I am all for it.Sounds great iin place of I am Satoshi...cant we say something else like I love bitcoin etc?

Well, I like the way you said" I love bitcoin " were we can see the side of others of how they love bitcoin, isn't? Regarding the video, it doesn't matter for me who is satoshi nakamoto personaly, it is much important now that many of the community in crypto currency are learning a lot in this kind of opportunity.

I would like to see this as coordinated project by some reputable member of bitcointalk familiar with video editing and production.
Then bitcoiner will share voluntarily their videos or send short clips (of course only videos fitting description).
And project coordinator/editor will gather it and make of it the most recognizable video of bitcoin movement.

There are faces behind this technology, and people who are not scared to face it. See this as a example --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEBWtbhq0Ts .... We have enough people, who can

make this interesting .... How surprise would you be, if some celebrities pitch in for this effort? We know people like,  Ashton Kutcher and Mel B and even Mike Tyson are into Bitcoin... Someone could

ask them to pitch in too, just to make it interesting.  Roll Eyes .... Well, it's out there.. do with it what you like.  Wink

I'm sure you have good intentions and your idea is interesting (but nothing special to be  honest)main problem is that i don't believe that these kind of videos will bring you enough revenue, maybe they are interesting for bitcoin users but what about the rest?
Anyway if you really want to do it i think that you should make the first video so the rest will follow, good luck

I like to stay anonymous in the net and that's why I use Bitcoin, VPN and also TOR when needed. But I like this idea, sounds a lot positive and I am sure if this video is done with a lot of love it will raise awareness of bitcoin and decentralized currency much further ahead so anyone who can do it I say please go ahead and do it. It will help our community in a positive way by adding to the number of users of bitcoin worldwide. At least this should be the ultimate goal of such video.

In video its better to cover our faces with something or better to wear anonymous mask to remain anonymous. Saying I am Satoshi Nakamoto in own language will show how big and decentralized is the bitcoin community. I like the idea however animating clip is hard but a simple short 4-5 sec clip with just " i am satoshi Nakamoto" can be recorded within few minutes.

is this about a education show or a preaching show because it only seem to me that that may like a monk giving knowledge to his fellow students and if it really was a satoshi then i have many questions

No thanks,I'd like to be anonymous on the internet. The reason I'm using bitcoins in the first place.

You can still stay anonymous, just wear some outfit and cover your face or ask someone else to pose for you. You access the site through Tor or VPN or whatever way you access this forum. Most people

are not worried about anonymity, if you look at the amount of people signing up to centralized services, eg. regulated exchanges and faucets. This can work, if people are positive and want to make a

difference. If other non-Bitcoiners see this video, they will see there are actual people behind this technology, and it's normal people like them.  Grin

I don't think you can get a lot of revenue just from videos of random people saying "I am satoshi nakamoto" in their own language. It's a nice idea, but prolly won't work.

Well, take a guess how many people are using Bitcoin and then take only 1 million of them. Let's say only 20% of those people contribute to this video.. or even less. Everyone is obsessed with the

identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, so it will attract a lot of attention. Every time someone asks, we direct them to that video...  Wink ... How much will 1 000 000 views draw in revenue from this video?

Let's just be creative and do something fun and positive for the Bitcoin community and if you want to stay anonymous, wear a mask, while sunbathing on a beach.  Wink

Seems like a positive idea. The problem is being sure that the money from the ad revenue really goes to some charity of choice and not the guy administering the account gets all the money.

Also im not sure if people here would like to show their faces on a video. But the idea is cool.
