I bought 3 btc on credit for 19k about. What should I do? I am way underwater.

It's indeed a troublesome situation you are in right now.

Perhaps you should take this as a personal lesson to note that anything on credit will never be considered as an investment.

As others have said it, perhaps you have no options but to hold, unless you find the right chance to sell it break even.

Trading on it might be a good idea too but never eye too much profit as it might cause you double the fall.

Best of luck.

You really are way deep under water my friend and you cant do anything about this . You just need to wait , this is the only think to do at the moment . Why the hell did you bought bitcoin at 19k$ ? Bitcoin wa to expensive at that moment , you should realized that bitcoin will fall at some point and you will buy bitcoin at that moment , when bitcoin is not so expensive . If i had so much money i would invest in a small and cheap ico . you have more chances to earn more profit if you do that . The best time to invest in a coin is when that currency is being launched. Almost all of the currency at the beginning of the launch are going up , they are growing , and thats why i would invest in those coins . If you buy that coin before the currency will be launched you will have a lot of chances to make a lot of profit.

to cover the cost of such a purchase, you need to wait for the price increase to be higher than 19k

Whatever you do - don't sell now, that will be a total loss. If you need to pay interest and no other income to cover it - well, sell small chunks to pay your bank and hold the rest.

Just relax and avoid selling bexause it will just make its market value lower also, you will lose money from your investment. Just patiently wait. It is just that bitcoin at this moment is struggling with its volatility in the market but chances are high that its price will eventually increase. For now, just hold and wait.

Of course, if he sells, he is gonna do it at a 40% of the entire price that he bought that bitcoin, so for me, it is a waste of time and energy. I do not know why there were a lot of people who were buying bitcoins when it was more than 19k.

FOMO... that's one good answer to every adrenal-induced buying in crypto world, he must have thought the bull run will hit 30 or 50k before it began its correction, however, we all know that the most important event last year - Bitcoin Futures - would not permit bitcoin to soar that high, except it was in the interest of the whales who hold larger shares of the Bitcoin Economy.

FOMO that can lead him to such losses. Though I can't blame him for easily getting himself in crypto because it's actually a good deal nowadays but too bad he missed the bull run. Hope OP didn't think to kill his self for his losses and it's a lesson learned for him for being an impulsive buyer and being a FOMO.

Yeah, if you've been long into crypto, you should've had a hinch that a massive correction is going to ensue after that huge pump. Though things happen and there's pretty much no other choice at this point than to wait a long time to recover. It's too bad if you can't afford to wait that long

I think the best solution will be to wait for the price increase, like now it has started to slowly go up, so we are getting patience
Yeah, right now you have no other option rather than holding it as by selling it now will only cause you to bear a heavy loss. To escape the losses you have to be patient as the price now had shown a moderate inclination and it is believed that it will soon be getting up to there back again and will surely provide you with a desired amount of profit...

I bought 3 BTC on credit for 19k about. What should I do? I am way underwater.
All you have to do is you have to hold all the Bitcoins you have and do not sell them at low prices. You must be patient to wait for a really high Bitcoin price so you can earn huge profits.

You don't have any choice, you already lose a lot so maybe it is better to just hold until bitcoin will recover more and hit another ATH's this year. Having a patience can make you profitable in a long run.

if you do not want to wait then you can play altcoin to grow the bitcoin you have. if you buy bitcoin when it costs 19k and now the price of bitcoin collapsed then all you can do is wait, wait for the price to go back

Well, if actually bought bitcoin when its value was around $19,000 it means you have to wait for a long time before you go out of lose or enter profit, so patience and hold is the key at the moment.
I do not think he need to wait too long, if the bitcoin price goes up as in the last few days he will see it soon. It's just fun but anything can happen.
It always goes up no matter what the price down, because bitcoin is made for us to make profits it depends on how we manage to get the profit and yet. People still not get it correctly some of them still not believed in it. The price of the bitcoin will be not that long to reach the maximum price again because there still people who want to make a big profit once the bitcoin price become low again.

at present, only that can be expected. holding the bitcoin you have is the only best way, or you can trade if you're good at it, but of course it can be risky. the price of $ 19k is indeed a high price, but I think bitcoin will reach $ 20k price.

I bought 3 btc on credit for 19k about. What should I do? I am way underwater.

Two options:

1. If you are really financially struggling and you lack the necessary resources in order to pay for your monthly bills and obligations, then you may withdraw a partial of your bitcoins and exchange them to cash; AND
2. Just hold and pray since that is your only option. I go by the rule of never selling your bitcoins below the initial price you acquired them.

May this scenario serve as a learning lesson to check and study the market first before buying your first bitcoins as it may lead to unprecedented outcomes, which is like this one wherein you acquired bitcoin at its peak price.

No need to panic, just hold this month the market has shown a positive trend, many people predict that this year will be greater than the year 2017 because we start at a fairly high number than in 2017, hopefully this year bitcoin will be able to penetrate ATH on year 2017.

If I were in his situation, I would panic but I'll stick with my principle of not selling my bitcoins from a price lowered from what I acquired them at the first place. The only option is to hold and to hope that there would be some world-wide provision of supporting bitcoins as it contributes to its price significantly.

I bought 3 btc on credit for 19k about. What should I do? I am way underwater.

Similar experiences have already been experienced before when the bitcoin price rose to $1150 in December 2013, to fall below $200 a few months later. It took almost three and a half years for those who bought over $1,000 to recover their investment in February 2017!

Therefore, there is nothing left but to be patient. It is evident that this market is much bigger nowadays and has consolidated a significant rate of growth, so I do not think that you will have to wait three years to recover your investment. I am convinced that by the end of this year you could be enjoying even good profits.

If this is not fake this dude was extremely unlucky catching bitcoin at 19k as i remember it was at 19k only for few hours in one day.
I disagree, that is not being unlucky that is investing without having an idea of what you're doing, if you read the OP you will see that not only he thought at 19000 dollars he also bought those bitcoins on credit, I'm not trying to be very harsh but those are the actions of someone that doesn't really know what he's getting into.
