I assume you are all taking about a PGP key? Just found his, and will try to warn him if I can figure out how to use it. He's currently using this forum, but sending him a PM, I think, would be too dangerous for him (and maybe me?).

And I'm sure neither one of you want to be exiled to Elba.  Wink

Then again, that may not be a bad thing.

I figured out who Satoshi is

No you didn't. But if you believe you did you should shut up about it because it would be trivial for the US government, any of their agencies, or worse groups to find you and extract that information. You said you didn't use a web proxy or VPN.

For all we know Satoshi is already in some US torture camp in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, or wherever else and has already told everything he knows. Not that he can tell much as everyone already has the source.

He's been working on something big. Something so great that it will soon change Bitcoin. It is the next stage in the advancement of Bitcoin that has been needing to take it's course.

There was some hype about a pre-announcement for a big announcement to be made on September (if I recall correctly). But from what I remember reading it wasn't something directly related to the Bitcoin development at the source code level (e.g. it wasn't 51% attack protection). Of course this is speculation on top of speculation.

I, too, have narrowed it down to only two possibilities--0 & 1. Although I'm not yet ready to reveal my binary clue, I will offer up images (below) of the only two possible candidates. Please note: In one image, I purposely misspelled the word rarely; In the other image, the woman may or may not be relevant.

For the modest sum of only 10,000BTC (or is it BTC10000 or 10,000 BTC?), I will provide to anybody interested in my findings the DIRECT link between the original author of Bitcoin on Wikipedia and to one of the images above.

Speaking of Wikipedia, it seems as though our Bitcoin page needs a little housecleaning: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Bitcoin

EDIT 1: Size may or may not matter! (images)

EDIT 2: @mufa23: If we are on the same page, feel free to PM me.

Tell it to pirate, to BF labs and to the hacker of bitcoinica.

That would be the biggest conspiracy of our times.

So what do I do? Just keep my mouth shut?

Easy. Ask him.

Just because he knows who is him/her, that doesn't mean he knows how to contact the person in question, at least in a private/secure manner.

We all have his public key.

Yup.

Now they're coming after YOU! Run! Run!
Should have thought of that before I started the thread. But I could just BS and say it's Bill Clinton that started Bitcoin. I haven't divulged my method of finding him, so I could say I think it's anyone.
I guess it's too late for "Run! Run!" ...

Oh, pleaaase, tell us who Satoshi is,
before you get caught and tortured to death.

It'd be great if you could provide proof...
he could encode it symmetrically and some day in the future, when the identity is revealed, he can post the key and we can decode it to verify.

Are you sure your clue has been overlooked? There has been a lot written about this. There is such a small number of candidates, I'm sure the name has been mentioned on this forum. Spill it gumshoe.

It'd be great if you could provide proof that you know who Satoshi is, without disclaiming his/her identity. I can't think of any way to do this, though.

Without that proof, I think everyone will just see you as some guy seeking attention... even if there's no way to get such proof.
