There are many things that you can get here 1st you can gather more knowledge about crypto and bitcoins. 2nd you can make friends here and socialize with others. But before doing. Anything you must familiarize the rules and regulations here in the forum first so that you can avoid such mistakes. Also you must read the pinned post above it will guide you.

You get to learn about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. How to trade and secure you assets and also a number of business ideas based on cryptocurrencies.

This current forum's domain name was registered on 2011-06-24, several months after Satoshi's last activity. Initially, the forum I believe Satoshi used to make those posts was SourceForge forum before everything was migrated into Bitcointalk forum.

Well, mostly it's the knowledge.
Basically anything what happend since BTC bang has some sort of record here. First faucet, first purchase (famous 10k BTC pizzas), BTC hack in 2010...

Some users are making guidelines to help newbies with their initial struggles in cryptospace.

In Marketplace section you can purchase/sell goods or offer your own service.
You can also ask other users for support in case of doubt whether some service is legit (myself helped couple users to avoid being scammed by fishy online shops).

In Meta section you'll find rules and info related to forum.

If you're tech-savvy I'm sure you'll find interesting Development & Technical Discussion section.
