The thing is, it's easy to forge such wallet.dat files, Bitcoin Core doesn't and probably can't prevent this, unless you apply full encryption of the wallet file, so that scammers can't convince potential victims, there's actually some coins controlled by the wallet.
If you know how to do it, you can create a ton of such faked wallets. The applied wallet password prevents the buyer to quickly check that the wallet is forged. Bitcoin Core will happily show some balance of injected public keys. The scammed buyer will first have to break the wallet password, if he ever manages that. If he does, he will discover that there are no matching private keys for the public keys in that wallet. Only then this forged wallet.dat file is burned.
Every morning some dude wakes up to think he might be able to buy a "real" wallet.dat, waiting to be scammed by this scheme. Should be known by now for a long time, but every morning...

2- Ego / narcissism / 'I am smarter then everyone' attitude / whatever you want to call it.
There are 7 billion + people on the planet. You don't have to sucker a lot of them to make good money.
The problem is (not for those above) but the few and far between legit people who need help, we start out distrusting them and go from there.
Take out crypto and put in forged artwork, or selling the Brooklyn Bridge, and so on.

Yes, I understand. Still I find it amazing how people think like that "I'm going to get away with it" in the only place where probably they won't get away with it!
Also I find it amazing how people that sell these wallets, actually get their hands on those files. Or maybe they just sell those files and those files only contain random data instead of real wallet data. Then, buyers try to open it with a Bitcoin wallet and they get all kins of errors and end up here asking for help!

But beyond all of that it comes back to the transactions that were actually being shown. The 1st 3 mined? Seriously, that is either an extra special kind of stupid or just an outright troll.

With the amount of fake wallets that people keep buying and then coming here to ask for help, I think more and more we should start asking more questions 1st and then think about helping them. Legit people loosing their passwords seem to be very very rare vs. scammers / trolls.

Whoever created this fake wallet.dat is looking for stupids. The transaction times (UTC+3h) and later cited addresses caught immediately my eye, too.
At least the Genesis block hasn't been implanted into this fake wallet as this particular block subsidy can't be spent while the additional "donations" of ~22.64...BTC can.
Anyway, putting the blocks #1...#3 into such a fake wallet is truely kind of an intellectual offense. Miner of blocks #1 and #2 is unknown, block #3 is attributed to the miner called "Patoshi" which likely was the owner of the Genesis block. Very very unlikely based on history that even if they were real those keys would be in one wallet.

My negative opinion and criticism of OP is not because he got tricked into buying a wallet file whose coins he will never ever get access to. He got tricked and cheated, simple as that. My issue with the person is that they obviously don't mind they are holding someone else's fake wallet data and are asking for help to steal its contents. NeophyteReq is a morally corrupt individual. He's definitely guilty of that he cannot delete this thread so he just edits and erased everything not knowing it can be retrieved through Ninjastic, he knows he is wrong to buy a wallet file because of his ignorant so he turns to the forum for experts help and advice, even sharing what's inside.
He is not going to be the last to buy a fake wallet because there are a lot of greedy people that can be manipulated to buy this stuff, scammers are good experts in selling these fake wallet.dat

I believe such opinion already stated elsewhere. But in the end, it never happen since unencrypted data of wallet.dat (address, tx history, etc.) is needed to get latest transaction history when user open or keep Bitcoin Core running. User probably don't want to enter their wallet.dat password if they just want to make sure their Bitcoin Core is fully synced.

AFAIK, encryption has been added since version 2.3.0, and if you have been "found" those files and the transactions were from 2009, then this file will definitely not contain encryption with password.
If you bought it, it is most likely a fraud, as its contents have been manipulated to show the public key for these transactions, and even if you find the password, you will not find the private key for these addresses.
