This site called bitrefill.com recharges your phone in exchange for bitcoin.

I know about this site and i have also used it once as i wanted to how much does this site consume premium from us for simple recharges. I will recommend you to go for different site for mobile recharging as this site is quite ok but it is consuming very high premium for recharges.I am using Zebpay wallet which is really working smooth and their website & app are very user friendly. Other than mobile recharges i also use them for Internet and Dth Recharges.

I think there are lot of sites which support this one. I have seen many countries have their wallets with services of recharging the phone and even paying utility bills straight from the wallet app only. This is not new thing to find and there are now hundreds of services opening their doors for getting bitcoin as way to people.

Thanks for sharing about the service though. It's good that people in the forum are making others aware of the different services. This actually increases use if bitcoin and also people don't start getting panic about question like where should I spend my bitcoin there are no ways to do that. Lols.

Now the transaction charges are so high that recharging mobile phone or data card thorough bitcoin is getting very expensive. Before i was also using it but after this problem i have stopped it and converting it to fiat currency and using it.

I've too used bitrefill  for a long time now and the service is great.
Used to have higher fees at their start when I used to use Pikko, but they decreased their fee and are the most competitive service.

I tried it and it works. It was fun reloading my cell phone credits with it at the beginning, but after a while I would rather keep my BTC and use fiat instead. Theres really no need for me to use BTC for this stuff if it comes out more expensive.
I was going to ask the same question about how convenient recharging with BTC can be amidst the very high transaction fees paid for conducting the transaction or is it without a charge as is the case with fiat in my location?

When I checked how much it would take to add founds to my mobile account this service collected about $1-$2 'fee', no matter how high was the amont.
So there are pretty competitive prices I must say. The only problem I see is - there is no discount for refilling your account with greater sum of money.
We might as well stick to the minimal available refill option.

i think is very expensive price, example iam check price in provider in my country indosat if topup 25K IDR , is price 30K IDR
standard price indosat top 25k only 26k, so i think is not competitive price compare with seller local country
so true . prices in bitrefill too expensive, there are many other websites that have a normal price. surely everyone would want a cheaper price than usual. very unfortunate if the service of bitrefill instead has a high price.

Coins is much better for Southeast Asia, cheaper and more reliable. I use recharge sometimes though.

I've been using it for years, and it works great every time.

Few days back, I used Cryptonator as well to recharge my phone and it worked good that time.

In our country we do also have a website wherein we can exchange Bitcoin for phone load, pay monthly bills and also an online shop where they accept your Bitcoin as payment. The site you posted is also a good one but i still prefer what i am using.

They are more expensive that is true, but it is always good to have the option to do it if you choose to, besides maybe at some point in the future they will become cheaper since services most of the time when they start are more expensive but as it becomes more efficient the prices drop.

Yes, I too check just now the price is slightly higher like around $1 for $10 re-charge. But as you said, when you're in other country and want to charge your mobile urgently it will be quite handy. They should consider making thinks more attractive then they can get more business.

Thanks for sharing, the site seems to be user friendly. Another choice is  bitkoyn.com (former mobileshop.ph), prices are almost the same.  This kind of service would be my last option though, when I don't have any choice and badly needed to top up. Still, a helpful service for several users

It does look good and would be a handy tool in case there are no other options/couldn't go out to recharge your phone credits.
Pricey, yes, but still there are some who'd be willing to pay for the convenience.

Fortunately for me, my local exchange provides the same service with competitive prices. It's even cheaper than going out to recharge since they give out rebates.  Grin
