Seriously?  Huh  When you have $300k worth of coins on your computer, you don't just grant access to the first guy that sounds legit  Roll Eyes Surely if you have that kind of money you could've bought a $300 laptop just for your coins.
But I guess it could be that you're so rich that $300k is worth less than a handful of peanuts to you, that's why it never occurred to you that you might be at risk. That would be a little like me and the 0.04 BTC I have in my local wallet, I don't care about security because it's really no big deal if I lose it  Cheesy
Anyways hope you get your coins back.

Storing all your coins in online wallet is not one of the safest practices. Especially with 425 BTC in your possession a Trezor or Keepkey hardware wallet is an absolute must and I mean it an absolute must. I am very very sorry for your loss as its a huge sum, but please from now on keep large amount of BTC in hardware wallets.

You were the victim of a social engineering attack. It has taken them quite the effort to target you, so you most likely spread your information (email etc) around while indicating that you held bitcoin and litecoin.

Be very careful when people are making offers out of the blue. That is just not how the world works and most likely is and attempt to hack you. Next time, ignore it and find a local job or at a well known company through their website.

Hope you manage to keep everything else safe.

do you run a full node? I think If your wallet was encrypted then they sent it via rpc calls.

Yes, full node, but how can he removed all my blockchain files later?

Do you live your entire life on you Macbook, including doing your banking transactions?

You should also assess what information was lost with their access to your computer. Then take steps to ensure that you don't stand to lose anything else in addition to your coins.

Thanks for the advice, trying to reset everything.

I just want to ask why is it that you not keep such large amounts of bitcoins (425!!) On a paper wallet or something???

Anyway... since the hacker knows your personal info maybe he's someone you know locally??

The sorrow is that the possibility of your coins returning is low. 😔

AFAIK, .PPS is a file extension for a slide show presentation file format used by Microsoft PowerPoint.

Why in the world would you store ALL your bitcoins in one address? I have several paper wallets with small amounts of coins distributed in many locations. I will never lose everything in one hack, because nothing is stored on my computer. I use a Trezor wallet for day to day stuff and there is very little money on there.

If this is true, then this is a tragedy that could have been prevented. NEVER store ALL your coins in one wallet. ^hmm^

time is of the essence!
if you encrypted your wallet with a strong password there's a good chance that hacker has not yet burt forced your password
quiclky go find a backup of your wallet and import it in blockchain.info and move your coins out of there!

My wallet encrypted,  but all my coins transfered to hackers address already.

Oh, then it is really very hard for you to recover your coins, you can make claims against that address, but I don't know that will it help you or not,
and thanks you shared that news so that the members remain aware about hackers of that type, in the future people will be safe from mathods of like that.

I can't help but to wonder why you were so naive, if you had that much bitcoin, i'm sure you are aware of the risks, and security.  i keep everything on a dead server and move anything offline.  all of my passwords are 30+.

I never use one computer for "Everything"  I have several computers, and one server that is only used offline with a laptop, then transferred to my network.  my network and online systems are scanned daily.  I am a little over paranoid yes. but to date i have never had a problem as you have.  I do business personally or on a solo computer system that if were hacked would be board out of there minds.   I know a company that can help you but i'm not sure if there still in business, I will try to find out the information for you, and get back here.

holy fucking shit 425 BTC and 39,612 LTC Shocked Shocked Shocked

Yeah this seems like a hoax story to me.
The OP also talks about the "Cyber Police" that everyone knows is a joke term and not even close to being a real thing.

Why would anyone who has 425 BTC and 40k LTC download anything on the computer that stores that?
If I had anything close to that, it would be split up into multiple address and placed into DEEP DEEP cold storage.

This story doesn't seem plausible.

It is just a story. It is not that Op is asking us for donation because he will kill himself over his lost BTC instead or anything.
This story maybe is hard to confirm but or believe in - but I can have positive effect on people. This is the way hackers might act in order to grab your digital assets.
After reading this stuff some people might get wiser about their bitcoin wallets.
