Please give me advice on how to act in that situation. I am ready to invest money in that case in order to make their lives harder. Can you propose a legitimate law firm that can take care of that situation? They also plan to make a website about their scam activities. I appreciate your help and advice.

Hi! I found your topic saying that you were scammed by Freewallet.
I have an idea to stop the fraduelent activity

To make this Ive created a website freewallet-scam.org

And make a petition to police to investigate freewallet scammers crimes. Please take a look to its text: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/petition-to-investigate-freewallet-org-scam-5462119

You can also PM me because I have some ideas on how to stop them!

Exactly. But if you keep something away from the internet then how can you use it in the online service.
Like I said, they can, you can't. I don't know how many people have managed to get their coins back after they got taken and frozen due to "security reasons". But if the Freewallet team wants to give you back your coins, they have the means, regardless of cold or hot wallet. Elon Musk got his tokens stolen at one point using this scam wallet, but I am sure they gave it back to avoid further negative press. Many other people aren't going to be that lucky.

Cold storage means they are storing the keys physically or digitally on machines that are not connected to the internet.

I'm not the topicstarter, so can't be sure. But I've met some info that freewallet often moves coins to something they call "cold wallet". It sounds incredibly weard since cold storage means no internet connection. And if some storage is not connected to the internet, then how can you withdraw your coins any time you wish so?
Since they are scammers and their intention is to ultimately steal your coins, you are not going to withdraw anything anyway. Cold storage means they are storing the keys physically or digitally on machines that are not connected to the internet. Freewallet is a custodial service, so you have to ask them for permission to withdraw your own coins. When they see the withdrawal request, they act on it. Or in Freewallet's case, they start requesting documentation and ask questions until you give up or can't comply.

Can we conclude that you (n1k_lev) didn't make this transaction but Freewallet did?

Freewallet is a known scam. There is no need to repeat that anymore. But I find this whole thread a bit weird, and I will say why.

Blockchain data shows the incoming transaction was made on 10 July. Less than two hours later, the money moves from the address to a different one. Can we conclude that you (n1k_lev) didn't make this transaction but Freewallet did? Frewallet is custodial, they own all of the keys. I am trying to understand why they would move the tokens from your address to a different one. It's not like you can recover them without their intervention.

Only 24 hours after the transaction, you open a scam accusation thread, make one post, and never return to the forum again. All that seems weird to me.

Never used such dangerous wallet and wouldn't reccomend anyone to do so!
https://freewalletscam.org/ar2.html

It looks like they just steal coins and act like they are just following their own KYC procedure Grin Grin Grin
As a lawyer I can say, that if I would decide to become a scammer, I would do same thing. Like you like in the terms of service that you can block anyone for KYC. And the KYC may last foerver. And then good luck to try to get your money back.

Looks like the user is able to withdraw his money again, he just moved 70k USDT TRC-20 out of his wallet.

AFAIK, freewallet is a non custodial wallet... Which means that the only thing we can see is that freewallet moved funds (at least, i suppose that's how you deduced he got his money, by looking at the block explorer?), there is no way of knowing whether or not OP got his funds unless he tells us.

Sorry, you seem like a novice, therefore, the only one you can blame here is the one who introduced you to this field and told you that freewallet is a reliable service. Anyone around here can tell you that any custodial wallet (some may go miles further and say closed source apps) shouldn't to be trusted. I'm sorry for your loss, but you should have done your own investigation! Can't say any thing else, unfortunately!

I am surprised that you have added such a large amount of funds to a wallet that already has many complaints of scamming its customers' funds. You posted on Bitcointalk now, but if you had posted here earlier to suggest the best wallet to ask community members, you would have found the best wallet and your funds would have been safe. However, Freewallet's reputation is pretty bad on this forum, as their scams have been exposed here. So they left this forum!

About the making noise. I suggest stepping up the game because loads of stories are out there as well and if you want yours to be noticed asap/as much as possible, it has to stand out, no?

For instance, you could hire/ask some people with decent following to retweet your post and/or start writing to news outlets/blogs (with decent visits) to cover your story. I would suggest web3isgoinggreat.com as I think they're relatively more open on publishing stories like this.

Lastly, another way to make the content more catchy is to gather fellow victims and form a collective story or some sort.

I never used this wallet but I wonder why anyone would take such a big risk without proper research. My cousin given me advice that when ever you want to make big deal then first start with small $ to check service, if it's going smooth then you can do big. Now i am applying this everywhere whenever i need to deposit or Withdraw and also other big deal. If OP started with small $ (100$) then he would not regret now.

Review for this wallet is not good, i searched on google about it and first site user has given bad review on 22 October. If OP had spent only five minutes on research, he would have avoided this loss. Anyway i appreciated that you share this with all and we will be careful when doing such deal.

Use Trustwallet. Why sending your coins to others .

Actually OP want to buy through P2P cash transaction and Trustwallet has only Binance P2P option for buying and OP skipped Binance to buy so probably He doesn't want to involve in any Cex, This why he choose other wallet but unfortunately his fund stucked.

$120k is not peanuts and you didn't do your homework. This is going to leave a mark in your finances.
It's my entire salary for a whole year here in my country...
~snip~

If you have a salary of as much as $10 000 a month many on this forum would envy you and wonder what exactly you do for that money - and you still have time to participate in sig campaigns - a great success Grin

Who knows, maybe OP earns twice as much as you, so that loss won't be too much of a problem for him Undecided

It's my entire salary for a whole year here in my country, my advice to newbies do a test first and check the reviews there are so many scams in every sector of the industry, on casinos, on exchanges just about everywhere else the Cryptocurrency industry is the most targeted industry even a legit platform can turn into scam like the case of FTX so be mindful and cast a doubt until you proved that the site is really legit.

You should have checked the reviews before you used freewallet.org... They are everywhere. Everything you will see and hear about them is no good. It has been more than 5 years probably since people realized their scams.

$120k is not peanuts and you didn't do your homework. This is going to leave a mark in your finances.

Hopefully you will lighten up and don't do stupid stuff next time... or else there won't be a next time.

Find out about Freewallet.org, a good web wallet that works with USDT and TRC20.

First of all i don’t know and understand from where did you get that this wallet is reliable when you can find out that it’s a 100% scam from a simple google research or anywhere.
Even on Bitcointalk we have many cases against it and several users got scammed by them for the same reason always and it’s not getting any better if this wallet still online and the owner still out there scamming and fishing more victims with ways that i don’t understand.
If you search about legit or reliable open source wallets that support TRC or USDT you will get a long list of them and none of them are scam, i hope you explain what made you certain that Freewallet is legit ?

according to google their ceo is called -  Alvin Hagg, I recommend that while you are trying to see if your google authenticator sends you a code, you can look for a lawyer in your country for him to give you instructions of how can you open a criminal case against you freewallet.org and its CEO Alvin Hagg, I believe your country's police will have sufficient means to obtain his true location and send or order you to open the case against him in the court of country he lives in, I saw this thread about someone accusing him:

Alvin Hagg and his Bitch Hanna Hagg Running Fake Company Called Freewallet.org

this thread was created in 2018, that means the same scam scheme continues today. I hope you are not mistaken with the internet lawyer that you are not talking to him physically. look for a lawyer in your own country and he will give you all the instructions on how to proceed, do not hire a lawyer on the internet, you have to have a lawyer in your country and someone reliable and who has a good reputation and competence

Then I found out about a lot of the same cases all over the internet about the way to perform a scam. Even I agree to pass the verification process because my money is totally clean, but in order to pass verification, you need to enable 2FA authentication. Then I try to enable it in my account. Google Authenticator gives me the code, and Freewallet says it is the wrong one. So they made everything so that you couldn't restore your funds.
Open the Google Authenticator app and tap Settings > Time correction for codes > Sync now

If this method did not work for you, they are the ones who did it so that you could not pass the verification, I do not even have a 10% hope that even if you succeeded in passing the verification, you will be able to withdraw the $ 120,000 that you deposited because Freewallet.org has a terrible reputation and there are a lot of affected customers who have had what happened to you and lost their capitals.

I am sad about your loss, and I hope you will do your best to expose and defame them and try to seek the help of a trustworthy lawyer to help you get your right from them.

Check out the following list of lawyers in Estonia that I found on Gov.uk, and don't forget to read the disclaimer of liability and do your research: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/estonia-list-of-lawyers/list-of-lawyers-in-estonia
