Everyone wants to pet your dog I like all kinds of dogs little dogs are more fun to look at. Your dog needs to learn how to treat other people in your home or far away your dog is welcome in many more places if he is calm gentle and well socialized until you have some self control through training you put him in the hole when you come over to the company during a friendship or friendship with him and let him stay at home. If they grow from small to big they will listen to you better.

I love dogs of all sizes! Grin I have 2 big dogs right now, but I wouldn't mind having just small dogs in the future.

They are so much easier to transport. I do not like yappy dogs, but I wouldn't mind getting a small dog who is already like 2-3 years old so I can more accurately judge their personality.

Dogs are cute, and cats too but I don't really like to have any pets for now since I have to spend a lot of my time for them which is actually bad if we look as business mind.

Having pets can help you relax and relieve stress. This is especially important when your daily tasks are getting overwhelming, and you feel like the walls are closing in. It’s all too easy to take on too much, and often, when you become overwhelmed, you shut down and turn to unhealthy and addictive coping methods.

Pets make the best companions, and a great way to make yourself feel better. According to WebMD, people who own pets report better sleep, tend to be less depressed and are more likely to exercise regularly. Also, a study done at some university found that dogs can boost a person's immune system and improve concentration, providing them with mental and physical health benefits.

Better to avoid what discomfort them,

That seems to be people, other dogs, and Amazon delivery vans. Unfortunately it is difficult to avoid those categories, so it is easier to avoid the rat-dogs.

As long as the dogs will be well taken care of with their necessary good needs... and they shouldn't feel abandoned or helpless.   Or, there could be people willing to adopt them, who'll understand them better, take good care of them and make them useful to the family. I guess you should check to see if you can find such people
Sorry for the problems they caused you. There can be improved trust between you and them if you need to.  Lots of genuine love will build trust.

Right now, I'm looking after a pair of small rat type dogs, and the stupid things won't stop barking. I love proper dogs, and I get on well with almost all decent sized one - even the aggressive ones that I am told are difficult. Thankfully, it is only for today, and I'm not going to do it again. I've tried talking to them, and bribing them, but it doesn't seem to shut them up. I just don't understand why people keep the stupid things (small rat-dogs).
I have a dog at home, I get really scared when they don't bark... Cheesy

I think you are just not used to their barking yet, or you are a person who doesn't like fuss. if you get really annoyed like the best way you can take is just to sell the dog back.

Even if you are able to get used to small dogs barking, it will be challenging. It can be loud, incessant, and ear-piercing.
Eliminating the cause of the dog's barking is a better solution.

I think creatures like that need to be understood. They may be reacting like that when discomforted or maybe trying to let you know something in their dog language that may sound unpleasant to humans but normal/harmless communication/expressions in their dog culture/language. They are probably made in that way for useful purposes.  I tend to think dogs that of different types don't need to be always cheerful, or aggressive, or protective etc.
Better to avoid what discomfort them, and focus more on the good things they like. If that's is try long enough they will learn to trust you. They could be taken where they would be mostly useful, or you let them safely express themselves to understand what department they would be mostly useful.

I think a dogs behaviour & temperament depends on how you look after them & how well trained they are.

Well that is certainly true, but I have yet to come across a small dog that can keep its mouth shut for more than about 5 minutes.

They live in fear of being stepped on so they bark for attention.

I have cared for:

german short haired pointer-Albertina
lab/pointer mix- M&Ms
lab/pointer mix- Francose
bulldog-Alfie
miniature poodle - Mitzy
miniature poodle - Brandy
rat terrier “the skipper”
rat terrier “the skipper to”

The two toy or miniature poodles were very quiet
but both died young and I suspect that is why they were so quiet.

The two rat terriors were barking beasts.
the bulldog was an asshole but did not bark much.

the lab/pointer mix were the best of them all
the pointer was a good dog and it out lived both of its two kids.

The rat terriers are good dogs for living in the woods in the middle of no where.

Very alert. They sound the alarm and the bigger dogs 🐕 get ready for  action.

Since I live in the burbs and dont have a  rat 🐀 problem I would never have a rat terrier.

Those people that has Small Rat Dogs usually are type of people with Longer patience , They really prefer themselves for this kind of situation.
So barking and even not proper Pooing is what they are training for.

Just look for Half aged Dogs so they are easily to handle.

What, like a chihuahua and something like that?
Yes, I know that these dogs can be hard work for owners. I have never had one myself, but I prefer medium-sized dogs that have a calmer temperament.

I feel you brother, in my mind small dogs are no real dogs and more like cats. My neighbor has three of these small dogs and it's so ridiculous, she is carrying them to the park and only in the park they can walk a little around. And in autumn and in winter she keeps dressing them up in all kind of clothes. This is not how you treat animals. It feels like small dogs are barking much more than bigger ones. I prefer real dogs, my favourite are German shepards.
