You can put some portion of your 1BTC to Satoshi Dice Casino: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/megadice-play-instant-bitcoin-dice-be-part-of-the-bankroll-1009904
I think this good option.

trade it on exchange or another alternative, is to buy things on the market(here on bitcointalk) and sell them on another forum

don't invest in altcoin, i find them too dangerous now, and invest in mining only with free electricity

Deposit to https://1broker.com/ and put a short order on EUR/USD with a 200 leverage.  Grin
You can win a lot of BTC with your 1 BTC.

Seriously .. take a look at that chart : http://www.dailyfx.com/charts/tradingview?symbol=EURUSD

(If you don't know the forex trading basics, when to enter a trade for example, don't do it.. Or with a smaller amount, or lower leverage.)
200 leverage? What are the margin calls? recently there have been 3% swings in both directions, I mean yesterday after Yellen's patient/impatient stuff the rate moved 2%.
Almost everyone is short Eur/USD, so it is hard to move the market further. There also seems to be strong resistance at 1.05, so that could limit upside too.

I guess he was being light-hearted, but I guess someone who has to seriously consider where they will invest $260, should not be using a 200x leverage for forex trading, especially not at the moment.

try to day-trade it on some exchange, but invest only 10% of it, and make it(1 btc) your entire bankroll

yes maybe a new altcoin could be risked more than 5% look a stable altcoin like darkcoin https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/155

or maybe a coin with lot of block already mined like this one https://comkort.com/trade/brd_btc

forex trading is as risky as trading altcoins. We need to learn a lot of knowledge and form our own trading strategy.

You can invest in bitcoin gambling sites like just-dice but nothing really is sure, but yeah you can win some money investing in gambling sites
I'd reccomend not doing this , alot of big websites are for some reason getting hacked. just look at all the exchanges, and its not really a great investment either.
My reccomendation is buying and selling stuff , then you have to actually do smth but there's usually a very low risk.
+1, seals with clubs was going through something bad and they shut down, and i highly recommend just learn some skill and then offer it here on this forum or you can start a service with that money(not cloudmining)

Trading and loaning is the way to go.

Don't gamble.
i think most loaners actually dont get a profit , there's always gonna be that one scammer that puts you back quite alot.

no profit in loan
most of are scamers

Try to do some day trading on altcoin exchanges but do not invest all your 1 btc on it on one chosen altcoin, diversify.

try investing it in gambling sites or maybe you can make a loan thread so you can earn as low as 5% Smiley
Probably investing in gambling sites is a good idea. Gambling sites have some level of house edge and is always making profit.
But the idea of issuing loan is a bit risky, especially for the newbies here, who don't have some sense of judgement to distinguish the potential scammers and honest loanees.

Why not go to Asset Exchange based on NXT ( https://nxtforum.org/assets-board/)? You can buy with your bitcoin as well (https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_xrp).  Some aseets are really performing good existing long time. You can check here and get a rough idea (https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/what-is-the-most-promising-asset-to-hodl-for-the-long-term/).

If you consider investing in bitcoin gambling sites, you might want to have a look at this site for helpfull information.

https://thebitcoinstrip.com/blog/investing-in-bitcoin-casinos.html

I would not consider investment advice from people with "noobie" accounts on this forum.  Wink ... I had burnt my fingers on that before.  Sad

Better trading it on exchanger instead invest it.
Many Investment program mostly will end scam.
Trading is better and of course without house edge  (because depend on supply and demand )

I would take the advice some others have made and to just keep it and hold on for the ride only BTC can offer.  Smiley
